Both human and geographical disasters influence considerably on the international and local
societies. Cyclones can cause a lot of harm on the human surroundings. The cyclone’s strong
waves can rip off the house roof or destroy it completely. Tropic cyclones typically cause an
increase in ocean water resulting to increase of sea level above normal. The surges normally
referred to as tidal waves can drown animals and persons. It can also bring terrestrial rains that
cause flooding. Thunderstorms can assist and harm people existence as the lightening can strike
inside the cloud, which is termed as sheet lightning, or the average lightning bolt, can strike
individuals. A hurricane’s strong winds are destructive and can cause spawn tornadoes
(Alexander, 2017).
Climate change can be said to be any considerable long-term variation in the anticipated patterns
of average climate of an area over a considerable period of time. With rising international surface
temperature, the probability of increased storms and more droughts will likely happen. As more
water vapor is evaporated into the surrounding, it results to fuel for more strong storm to start.
Man-made disasters are a result of human being error, intent or a result of failed structure. They
can be separated into classes such as technological, terrorism or transportation perils and
environmental hazards (Pelling, 2012).
Explosive can happen by accidents or due to the malicious intent. Explosives or bombs are one
of the most frequently utilized to cause harm or create fear. A chemical emergency happens
when dangerous chemicals is discharged and discharge has the possibility of harming
individual’s health. Mining accidents can have numerous causes such as leakages of gases,
mining-induced seismicity, or collapsing of mine stopes (Wijkman & Timberlake, 2019).

Natural disasters can devastate the whole nation’s overnights, ranging from the destruction of
structures to the diseases spreading. Typhoons, Tsunamis and earthquakes do not just destroy
the land but also destroy people’s existence in both densely populated towns and remote village
(Wijkman & Timberlake, 2019).
