In the modern era, the major population relies more on the tourism sector industry as the major
source of income as well as employment. However, tourism can be termed as problematic factors
if the management is not adequate. The huge crowd of the visitor can damage the beauty,
character, resources, social coherence, environment and the uniqueness of the tourist destination.
However, it has already been observed that dynamic mischief is done to the unique historic
monuments. Thus, the entire content evaluates all the negative impacts that the tourist has
socially and environmentally to the different countries. Moreover, it also leads to a lack of in the
respect of local culture and tradition, refuses to follow the local standard of the dress,
misbehavior is observed and many more negative impacts are related to this sector.

Economic impact
There are many negative impacts that are observed in tourism at the developing stage in the life
cycle areas. Like the increasing population, the negative impact of tourism is also increasing in a
parallel way. The resources are becoming exhausted as well as unsustainable that the destination
site is becoming depleted. Moreover, there is a leakage created which strikes out the local
business to earn sufficient revenues (Li et al., 2018). Moreover, it has been observed that tourism
raises the property values that push out even the locals while encouraging the other business
units to migrate and take advantage of tourism.
In England, the negative impact of tourism is influenced by the price inflation that even in the
huge amount. The prices of the services, goods and properties are increasing for the local people
living there (Xu et al., 2016). Another reason that leads to the negative impact to England is the
shops shutting that arise due to the shortfall of the profit and customers as several holiday
packages are introduced to the public during the time of weekends.
In Dubai, economy regulation focuses mainly on the tourism sectors that eliminate the general
criteria of the local public. This sector bestowed from its abnormality in relation to its time of
composition. The population of the local people is more than the 200 nationalities which itself is
the extreme population in which the huge range of tourism increase more of it creating real
damage to the society as it becomes contrasted with the local public (Kim et al., 2015).
Moreover, the dressing style of Dubai is more traditional which is required to be followed by the

tourists. However, many of the time it has been observed that outsiders breach these factors by
wearing different clothes.
Environmental impact
The major concern for the environment factor is sustainability. It has been evidenced that water
resources is the most crucial natural resource that is required to be maintained. The tourism
industry is found to make overuse of the water resources for the hotels by making swimming
pool or golf courses. This can also result in shortage of water; this can make a huge misuse of
water and shortage. Local resources are also found to be exploited and land degradation is also a
major cause. Pollution, different types of pollution can also be a great form of negative impact on
the country (Paris et al., 2016). Solid waste and littering can also be a great cause for degradation
of the environmental condition of the country. Sewage, aesthetic pollution is also certain factors
that affect the environment in a negative way.
The country land in a vast amount has been observed as one of the major issues on the
environment of England. This leads to the occurrence of destruction of the overall natural
resources. Moreover, the erosion of soil and land, disturbance to the livestock, litter and many
more can affect negatively to the ecosystem in several ways (Muresan et al., 2016). In addition,
it has been observed that 45% level of the waste increased due to the practice of tourism in
England.
However, the beach of Dubai is highly devastated through from the above it is still looking like
the skyline and sparkling. This leads to creating less alluring in relation to environmental
problems. Moreover, some of the places in Dubai are considered as the raw sewage disposal
which resulted in the purification of the rise salinity level and seawater. In addition to this, it has
been observed that the entire city was running out of power in relation to sustaining from the
busy life with the course on the environmental concern (MacNeill and Wozniak, 2018).
However, it happens due to the raising population who fails to follow their responsibilities in
relation to the environment and with the disposable process of garbage in an adequate manner.
Social culture impact
Cultural impact of tourism refers to the characteristic pattern of values, beliefs, behavior and
attitudes of the people living in a society. People belonging to similar community group share
almost similar values and beliefs in terms of tourism. Tourism sector can behold certain unseen
and unexpected events that can be associated with terrorism, political instability, bad weather

conditions or natural disasters (Roberts et al., 2017). These can create a great havoc on the
region and affect it in an adverse way. Inbound tourism is affected for considerable period of
time. This can hamper the destination selected by the tourists and the recovery for such disasters
takes time. Furthermore, the taste and preferences of the customers might also be a great hurdle
for the tourism management sector. Out of the huge population, it might not be easy to cope with
the challenges to meet the demands of the customers. Along with this, the traditions, cultural
values and lifestyles of the people are different in different countries. Innovation and creativity in
terms of social relevance and unfamiliar ideas might not be easy to cope up with. The
sustainability factors might not be maintained by the management of tourism sector.
Some of the negative socio-cultural impacts that tourism has on England are outweighed of the
positive ones. Discrimination and crime are served as the evident issues that arise due to the
nations that are ethnically diverse by mixing all together. Moreover, these practices also lead to
feeling devastated to the local residents that indicates that the general public is having no
separate choice rather than accepting that are decided by the council of the economy country
(Kim et al., 2015). Moreover, this also leads to a decrease in the range of customers irrespective
to hotels and towns.
The fashion sense in Dubai is highly traditional irrespective to the laws and regulations.
However, before entering into the boundaries of Dubai it is important to go through the rules and
laws that are mandatory to follow by the tourist. After so many laws it has been observed that the
tourist breaches the facts of maintaining the traits of fashion. This leads to encounter the local
people values and ethics which is one of the major social culture impacts on Dubai. Moreover,
the culture that is followed In Dubai is of Islamic that is prevailing. Henceforth the western ideas
that are accentuated by the tourist is another disadvantages to the local people. In addition the
tourist used to wear swimming costumes on the beaches of Dubai, which leaded the respected
country to face difficulties (Zaidan, 2016). For instance the major workforce in Dubai is of males
which lead to
Feel uncomfortable to them to see women in bikinis. There was a time arises in Dubai when
many local peoples were arrested in order to stare at the tourist women and clicking photographs
with them. Moreover, once it has been observed that many of the workers misbehaved with the
females who were bikinis on the beaches. More than 200 local people were arrested because of

that incident. All these are the factors that indicate various negative impacts that fall directly to
the country.
Conclusion
From the above study, it can be concluded that tourism has several negative impact on the
economy of a country. The study puts forth the comparison of England and Dubai on the basis of
tourism. It has been determined that major population of countries is dependent on the source of
income they acquire and that decides their possibility of spending money for tourism. It has been
evidenced that tourism can demolish and lay an adverse impact on the environmental beauty,
economic condition as well as the socio-cultural impact of the selected countries. Furthermore, it
has been evidenced that Dubai faces a lot of difficulty in coping up with the modern norms of
tourism. Issues regarding attires, cultures and values in Dubai restrict people to visit the place. In
addition to this, the sustainability factor might not be maintained. This can cause a serious harm
to the charm of the countries. Along with this, people visiting such places might also face issues
for coping up with the strategies.
