NMIT Project: Exploring Babysitting Service Feasibility in Nelson

This project investigates the feasibility of establishing a babysitting service in Nelson, New Zealand. The research aims to evaluate existing literature on babysitting services internationally and within New Zealand, assess the feasibility of setting up a babysitting service in Nelson, and compare the literature with customer views to demonstrate the feasibility. The methodology involves analyzing both secondary data from journals and articles, as well as primary data gathered through interviews with babysitters and service providers in Nelson. The project seeks to understand the potential of establishing a babysitting service, considering employment, operational, and financial aspects. The student's interest stems from the perceived challenges in the New Zealand babysitting industry and the potential for creating job opportunities while assisting families with childcare needs. The research aims to provide recommendations for increasing the feasibility of such services in the Nelson area.
