nations. Along with this, it affect the selection and recruitment process of that organisation and
they have to hire new employees along with new skills and of different culture, so that they can
make work force which is capable in different types of work. This also help them in performing

important for them to provide proper training and development sessions to their employees, so
that their skills and performance get improved. Therefore, it is very much essential for them to
adopt some specific and appropriate ways, so that they can improve their training and
development process at global level. There are many ways to improve training, selection and
recruitment process in which the firm can improve by defining the position and who they need to
fill it, Ask the straightforward and relevant questions in the training sessions by your superiors,
and while recruiting and selecting the applicants for the job they must ask relevant questions in
the interview, along with this they can test their candidates and also can improve by developing
and establishing the selection committee. In addition with this this can also improve by building
the workplace culture that attracts full time and contingent employees.
P2 Produce a project management plan
The project management plan is a formal document that defines how the project is
monitored, implemented, planned, controlled and executed. This project management plan will
include all the necessary and relevant information of the project ( Eckerson, 2010). The purpose
Document Page
of this plan is the written document that is used by everyone who is interconnected with the
project to get all the details about the project. This is the collection of subsidiary plans and
baselines which includes the following points, describe as below - Cost : This is the term used by the project manager who determine how much fund is
required to complete this research project. The mangers of Nestle will identify how much
money is required for achieving the goal of this project. They will use the tools which are
needed in this project, by the estimation of the cost. In respect of Nestle, the cost which is
required for increasing the recruitment process is estimated around 7000 pounds by the
investigator. Along with this, the cost which is estimated for the company to be approx
100000 pounds.
Scope : Scope is referred to several aspects of growth and development. This is the
factor which help in explaining different opportunities which are available for them

Nestle, to provide appropriate training and development sessions for their employees.
This will help them in improving their skills, so that they can perform in better
manner.
P3 Produce a work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart
Work breakdown Structure – This is the process of diving the complex and difficult
project into small tasks so that they can be achieved in an effective time frame. This
structure is used by the project manager which divide the large project into small segments
which can be simplified and solved easily ( Kankaanranta and Planken, 2010). This method
is used by the managers of the research project to modify the execution of the project. This
structure is not bounded for a specific field, it can be used in all type of projects.

Gantt Chart – This is a type of bar chart which is used to track the development of the entire
project. This chart tracks the task performed by different individuals and whole progress of

field and can be apply in any project.

TASK 2:
P4 Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative
research methods.
To complete a research in an effective way, it is important to consider appropriate research
methodology so that the work can be ended in effective time frame. Utilization of right
methodologies at right time in a right way in the project leads the researcher to manage the
collected information and data in a serialized manner. There are two types of research
methodologies which are considered by the investigator, are explained below –
Qualitative : In this type of research methodology, the data is collected in the theoretical
manner, and this data is used by the investigator for the completion of the project ( Lin and
Chen, 2012). The method is mostly used to conduct the secondary research, where data can
be gathered using the sources like online web sites, articles, blogs, etc. The data which is
Document Page
gather and collected in this research is already researched by any individual previously and
then the project is completed by using the information which is already achieved.
Quantitative : In this type of research methodology, the data and information is
collected, analysed and then represented in the numerical form. The certain graph
and formulas are used in this type of research so that the data which is in
mathematical format can be deliver in a systematic manner. This research is mostly
used when the investigator has to do the research on some huge number of peoples or
targeted population.
So, by examining both research methodologies, the investigator will used the
qualitative research methodology for the current research project for getting knowledge and
understanding about the concepts and theories of objectives. This will be helpful for the
researcher in completing the research in cheap cost and in very less time. Along with this, in
this research report both qualitative method and quantitative methods are used by the
investigator for getting proper information and knowledge about the research topic.
Data collection : This is the process of collecting and gathering the relevant and
authentic data on a topic, so that the researcher can be able to complete the research project
in an effective manner. The methods of data collection which the researcher will used for
collecting the data are as follows -
Primary research : In this type of method of data collection, the investigator is the
first one who is conducting research and collecting data on this topic ( Shang, 2012).
Therefore, in this the data can be collected by using direct sources such as survey,
questionnaire, focused groups, interview, etc. All these sources will help them in
collecting the all authenticated information, which can be helpful in competing the
research.
Secondary research : In this type of method of data collection, the data is collected
from the source where information already exists on that particular topic. But as
compared to the primary research, this saves a lot of time and money in completing
the research. In this data can be collected by using different sources such as web
sites, articles, new paper, blogs, books, etc.(Difference Between Primary and
Secondary Data, 2019) .

As per this research, the investigator is going to use the secondary research for
completing the project, as this is very cheap in cost and takes less time in collecting the data.
Questionnaire : This section is consists of a formal paper which have many
questions and flexible answers, which are answered by the respondents ( Smith, 2011).
These questions are asked by the investigator for analysing the viewpoint of many peoples
on the research topic in very less time. In present research project, nestle has chosen 20
employees, which will give the answers of their questions.
