Costa, 2013) . This is one of the largest food company all around the world, which is measured
by revenues with other metrics. In context with the present scenario, the policy of nestle deals
with recruitment, training and development, remuneration. The company wants to improve their
recruitment and selection methods to recruit the number of applicants for expanding the business
in international market. The company is not aware about the recruitment process of various
countries, so they want to conduct an research for the MNC companies to improve their
recruitment and training their employees in global market (Crane and Matten, 2016) . This
research project will focuses on the aims and objectives, along with the effective project
management plan, Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart. In addition with this, the
recommendation and reflection part along with deep analysis is done in this project.
TASK 1
P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Globalisation helps the companies to gain the benefit of competitive advantage in
various countries. This is the process by which the organisations establish international

process of growing economic mutuality of countries worldwide through exploding volume
and variety of cross border transactions in products and services. Globalisation enhances the
peoples involvement with other in various social groups (Den Hertog, Van der Aa and De
Jong, 2010) . Through globalisation, the unity arises among citizens using common goals
and awareness. Globalisation gives ability to move and interact or communicate easily with
others in the economy in order to enhance the business internationally. Nestle is one of the
largest food brand, propounded in Vevey, Switzerland. It is famed as the food company in
the economy. Bottled water, medical and baby food, dairy and snacks products along with
tea and coffee are the products which are offered by the company Nestle. The company
makes some policies in respect of recruitment and training of employers in order to gain
more profits and to enhance its productivity. Recruitment and selection process should be
learned and improved in effective manner, as this will be helpful in recruiting the applicants.
The recruitment method should be done cautiously so that the right candidate should be
appoint for the right job.
Background of the research
Nestle is the company of food sector defined by the fusion of Anglo-Swiss Milk firm
and Farine Lactee Henri Nestle in the year 1905. Nestle is providing their products at global
scale, so it is important to maintain the goodwill of the company in front of too many group
of peoples so that the growth of the business can be increased and the productivity of the
company Nestle can be enhanced. In context with Nestle, this is a largest food company
with huge profits but on the other hand, it is facing many issues regarding the recruitment
and training of employees at international scale. Recruitment is the process of hiring the
suitable candidate for the job, this is crucial for an organisation as this provide the right
individual for the right position. For improving the recruitment process and training and
development programme for the workers, the management of Nestle has conducted a
research in context to recruit and trained their employees at global scale (Eckerson, 2010) .
So for this, the investigator has made the aims and objectives, which are outlined as below -
Aim : “To ascertain the influence of globalisation on recruitment, selection and training”
Objectives :
To understand the concept of Globalisation.
To measure various methods of recruitment and selection at global scale.

P2 Produce a project management plan
A project management plan refers to the formal paper which consists of different
components such as scope, cost, resources, risk, etc. These are used by the project manager to
manage and implement the project and maximize the profits for long term. The various tool
which are used by the Nestle company are as follows -
1. Cost : It refer to that amount which is required to purchase any goods and services and
invest within a work. For the completion of this research project the research is also
required some fund. The cost which is estimated by the investigator to conduct this
research is about 400 pounds.
2. Scope : This research will researcher in future, as this help them in increasing skills and
knowledge related to this topic. This will ease the work done in future if they again so
research on same topic or related topic. Along with this, it will an investigator in saving
time and also provide appropriate information in future (Gebauer, Edvardsson and
Bjurko, 2010).
3. Time : The time of the project is depend on the features of the current project, therefore
time taken to complete this research is around 3 weeks and 3-4 days approximately, on
the other hand the project will be complete in around 23 days (1 months).
4. Quality : The quality must be good whether it is product or the services. It is very much
important for researcher to maintain the quality of their research, so that they can provide
appropriate output to reader.

5. Communication : For researcher, it is very much important to for them to make proper
communication with their respondents, so that they can gain proper results and findings
of it. For making communication to gather information to complete research project, the
researcher required different sources of communication like, email, message, phone calls
and others.
6. Risk : The risk which is associated with researcher while completing this research was
that, the collected data do not get wrong or unauthenticated. There are high risk because
the data which is collected through qualitative and secondary method some times not
correct. So it can be risky to use it because it will not provide appropriate and required
information.
7. Resources : The resources used by researcher for completing the research are books,
articles, online websites and other. In this research project, there are various resources are
required to the researcher like fund, time, data collection method and others.
P3 Produce a work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart
Gantt Chart – This is type of bar chart in which different activities of a specific field is
included, and this chart shows that on which time, each activity is to be performed and in how
much duration it will going to be completed. This chart is handle by the manager of the project
which track the performance of the individual and the report of the overall project. This chart is
not bind for a particular field, this can be used in any area.
Document Page
Work Breakdown Structure – This type of structure is used to distribute the large task
into smaller sections and due to this, they can be easily simplified and completed in an effective
manner. Along with this, the structure is not hindrance for a single project, it can be used in any
project of any type of field.

TASK 2
P4 Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methods.
While conducting a research, it is necessary to work on a research according to the
research methodologies so that the research get completed in effective time frame. The use of
accurate methodologies leads the investigator to manage all the gathered data in an ordered
manner ( Lin and Chen, 2012) . In context with the research methodological analysis, there are
two methodologies which are mentioned as below -
Qualitative : In this methodologies, the investigator collect and gathered data in
theoretical manner and it is a scientific method of observation to collect non numerical
information. With in research method, data can be collect through online portal, government
websites, books, magazines, government agencies and others modes. It is not pure data because it
has been already used by other people. The investigator is going to use that data which is already
gathered by someone else, and by using their thesis this research project will be completed
( Jones and Lubinski, 2012). It is important and appropriate because it provide an in depth
understanding of the ways people come to understand, act and manage their day to day situations
in specific settings.
Quantitative : This is the methodologies in which investigation is done by using statistical,
numerical and mathematical techniques. This is used to create and show different theories,
hypothesis and models. The researcher in this collect and gathered the data and information by

using the sources like surveys, questionnaires focused groups, etc. In this the investigator deliver
the numerical data by making graph and using mathematical formulas, so that the client get the
information in an authentic manner ( Kankaanranta and Planken, 2010) .
Therefore, in context with this research, the investigator is going to use the Qualitative
research methodology for accomplishing the results. This method is also used to ascertain the
findings on the basis of human conceptualization and also this method helps to complete this
research in given and less time and in very low cost.
Data Collection – This is the process of collecting and gathering the data from different
sources to get an exact and relevant information on the specific topic. This will help the
investigator to assemble the accurate information in the given time and in very cheap cost.1. Primary Research : This is the method in which the researcher is the first one to gather
the information and data on the specific topic or subject, from this the investigator has the
benefit of getting the fresh data from different sources such as interview, questionnaire,
surveys, etc. This method id not dependent on the thesis of earlier researcher, in this there
is depth analysis to find the accurate information ( Difference Between Primary and
Secondary Data, 2019) . This method is the easiest to make better evaluation and help
the investigator to end the research by attaining the desired outcomes. In this, researcher
has used questionnaire for collecting the data from different respondents.
2. Secondary Research : This is the method of data collection in which the data is collected
from the public sources on which the information is already gathered by the individual on
the similar topic. These types of information is available on the sources like newspaper,
online websites, books, etc. This method is very cost efficient and saves a lot of time of
the investigator ( Lai and Ong, 2010) . This method also has a drawback that the
information which bis used is not fresh and is assembled by someone else. In this, the
data collection method used by them are books, articles and online websites.
Hence, to complete the research in very less time and in very cheap cost, the investigator
will choose the secondary method to conduct this research.
In this research project, the researcher can used quantitative research method and primary
method of data collections so that the individual can collect first hand appropriate information to
complete the research in an effective way.

Data sampling- It refers to a specific size of a population through which the researcher can
gather required information to complete the research project. In this research project, the
researcher used sample size of 20 people to collet in formation with the help of questionnaire.
Questionnaire : This is the formal paper, which consists of number of questions which
are related to the specific topic on which the research is conducted. These questions consists of
four options from which the respondents answer their opinions and give appropriate and the
answer which is suitable to the questions. This is prepared to get the information from different
respondents in very less time. In this, the Nestle company has taken 20 employees, which will
give respond to these questions.
