communication and time management skills, so that work can be completed within limited
period of time.
Experience- The candidate must also have appropriate experience in a particular filed, so
that chances of duplication of work is reduced. By this work will be completed with less wastage
of time.
Role and responsibilities- Candidate will be assigned responsibilities as per its skills and
capabilities.
Cost of the project plan- It is very much necessary for Nestle to formulate appropriate budget
for the future course of action(French and Rumbles, 2010). With the help of this organisation
will be able to manage its cost which will be required for recruitment. Inappropriate formation of
budget and fund will lead to increase in mismanagement of activities related to recruitment. Cost
plan for this process is discussed below-
Total Forecasted Budget
Particulars 2016-2017 ($)

Publicity expenses 80000
Plant and machinery installation expenses 15000
Training cost 10000
Booklet 15000
Total Cost 180000
P2 Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope time, quality.
Project management plan is the written content which consist of vital information related
to research project. By using this plan investigator will be able to manage the cost, time and
other essential factors of research. Brief explanation of each and every factor related to project
management plan are discussed below-
Cost It is the total expenses required for carrying the research
project. The cost for this research is high because it will
consist of various methods such as data collection and

analysis, etc. If appropriate financial resources are
provided to the researcher than better conclusions will
be drawn out(Hartline and Bejou, 2012).
Scope The researcher will have different kinds of scope and
opportunities during the tenure of research project. By
using this researcher can easily identify methods for
meeting current trend of the market.
Time Management of time is very essential for researcher. As
with the help of this activities for research will be
completed within prescribed time period.
Quality The data collected by the researcher will be realistic and
accurate, so that better conclusions are drawn out.
Quantitative and qualitative data will help the
researcher in conducting activities in the systematic and
coordinated manner.
Communication Researcher must also have better and effective
communication skills. As with the help of this skills
investigator will be able to interact with the respondents
in a better and effective manner(Henry and Temtime,
2010).
Risk Researcher must also focus on reducing chances of risk
and uncertainty. It is the duty of researcher to make
appropriate plans for monitoring and analysing the risk.
As by doing this better use of resources will be done by
the researcher.
Resource Researcher will be having different kinds of resources
for collecting and analysing the data. These generally
include- online sources, reports, etc. It is essential to use
these resources in the proper manner so that better work

can be done.
P3 Produce a work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frame.
Gantt chart- This was introduced by a popular engineer in the year 1917. This tool is
basically used to analyse and interpret activities which will be carried out by the researcher. With
the help of this chart activities can be distributed in a proper order(LaFever and Myerson, 2014).
The management of Nestle can use this chart for planning various things in advance for the
international market. This will also help in motivating the employees to execute activities in the

TASK 2
P4 Carry out small scale research by applying quantitative and qualitative research method for
meeting project objectives.
A research methodology is a tool to conduct the research. Sociologists has defined the two
research method as two important methods which are qualitative and quantitative which includes
various experiment to be performed. An experiment is an investigation perform by the researcher
to identify the cause and affect relationship for which a hypothesis that is a imaginary situation is
created(Martin, 2010).
Qualitative methods are the type of methods which was used in the collection of data
which is gathered in descriptive form instead of numerical. There are various techniques to
collect quality data which are as follows-
Personal interviews- This is a most used method to collect qualitative data as it allow
researcher to get personal touch with the subject. This involves face to face interactions
so the result from this method is highly reliable as there is less chances of manipulation
of data.
Qualitative surveys- There are various methods to conduct the surveys which are as
follows-
Questionnaire- This includes number of questions in a proposed structure and the
questions are mainly open ended in case of qualitative questionnaire as they are asked to answer
in one word which define their answer. These can be useful in collecting the data from large
sample size as it involves collection of standardized data.
Web based questionnaire- This involves collection of data through the access of internet
as the questionnaire is uploaded at the website which allow the collection of data from the large
size of population as internet is a tool which connects the large size of population(Moreno and et.
al., 2011).
Observation-The researcher look at the activities which are required to form the data.
The documentation, audio-recording can be used by researcher to observe and the participation
of researcher assures reliability of information.
Quantitative techniques are the method used by researcher to collect numerical data and
then converted it into useful information. The result is basically estimated by using statistic
Document Page
which provides meaningful and useful information. The techniques used to collect quantitative
data are as follows-
Interview- This the common method used by the researcher which involves face to face
interaction, telephonic or web based interviews. The reliability of this technique depends
upon the type of interview as face to face interview offers more reliability.
Experiments- This methods involves using different variables such as independent
variables and a hypothesis is created which is divided into alternative and null hypothesis.
This method involves high manipulation of variables so it does not provide any
reliability(O'Meara and Petzall, 2011).
Primary data are collected by the researcher itself through using the questionnaire or
face to face interaction methods. The primary data can not be collected from the wide range as
the sample size of data is small as at a time 15 samples can be used to obtain the data.
Secondary data are collected by someone else and it is used by the researcher and
researcher uses magazines, public journals, etc. to collect this type of data.
