INTRODUCTION
Managing of projects is a set of activities which consists of planning, executing or
finishing of project that leads the organisation towards growth and sustainability. Recruitment
and selection is an effective process that is used by organisations for hiring knowledgeable and
experienced candidates so that predetermined goals can be achieved in easy manner. Along with
it, training is also an effective process which improves the efficiencies and skills of employees.
So that, they can deal with challenges and issues which are taking place within the workplace.
Chosen firm for completing this project is Nestlé which is a multinational food and beverage
company that is situated in Vaud, Switzerland. Company's offerings include dairy products,
Baby food, Packed food etc. This project will discuss about the aims and objectives of the
requirement of modifications in current selection, recruitment and training procedures. Along
with it, project plan which comprises of cost, scope, time, quality and many other things which
is highly required for completing the project. At last, some recommendations are provided to
company that will leads the firm towards competitive edge in marketplace.

Background of the research
Each organisation who performs its functions within the market wants to enhance its
productivity and profitability so that a good position can be maintained at marketplace. Due to
this, all the business organisations makes huge investments on recruitment, selection and
training concepts so that knowledge and efficiencies of working employees can be maintained at
workplace. Nestlé is a multinational organisation that offers several products like cerelac, baby
food products, coffee etc. throughout the world. As company is performing its functions at
global level then it is very important for their managers to make some improvements in their
current recruitment, selection and training methods so that requirements of international level
can be fulfilled in an effective manner (Cegielski and Jones‐Farmer, 2016)
Purpose of the Research - Main purpose behind execution of this investigation is to
determining the methods that can be used for modifying training, selection and recruitment

procedures. Along with it, through executing this research managers of Nestlé will be able in
analysing importance of training, selection and recruitment methods that will leads their
organisation in gaining competitive edge in international market. By carrying out this
investigation investigator will be able in enhancing their knowledge regarding training, selection
and recruitment methods which will be beneficial for them in completing the research
effectively.

members of firm so that organisation will fulfil international requirements”. A study on Nestlé.

Project management plan is a blue print or formal document which is required for
carrying out the project effectively. In addition to this, it also provide the obligations to project
managers and researchers to consider the aspects such as time, cost, quality etc. so that project
would be accomplish in desired manner. Some of the aspects that should be consider by project
managers or researchers for completing the project are described as below:
Cost: It can be considered as a main factor that should be consider by the project
managers or researchers effectively because without its consideration project can't be
completed in desired manner. For this project, an amount of £100 is estimated by the
project managers of Nestlé for completing the research programme effectively.
Scope: By using online aptitude test HR managers of Nestlé will be able in selecting
knowledgeable and experienced candidates for the vacant position. Through online
interviews, efficiencies and technical skills of candidates will be evaluated properly.
Whereas, use of simulation process enables the working force of Nestlé in dealing with
tough competition. Through making all these improvement Nestlé will be able in gaining

are required such as experienced and skilled human resources, proper amount of funds

Work breakdown structure: This method is very beneficial & provide supports to
project managers in completing the project easily. It can be used by the project managers of
Nestlé in segmenting the complex functions of project in littler components so that team
members will be able in completing things in quicker or productive manner. This process mainly
used for dividing major activities of project into smaller ones, so that chance of high efficiencies
can be increased.
Gantt chart: this is an identification chart that guides project managers to identifying the
project activities along with given period of time through which desired functions of project can
be completed easily and effectively. By using this chart, managerial personnel of respective
project will be able in scheduling and analysing project activities effectively which leads the
team-members to achieve i.e. meet deadline of project in desired manner.

small time-frame. In this project, researcher have to conduct the research programme on

investigation will be prove beneficial as through it weaknesses and strength of research topic
will be identified by them easily which will leads them towards completion of research
programme effectively. Mainly two kind of research methods are used by researcher for
completing the research programme which are described as below:
