INTRODUCTION
A communication process for a particular product and services by the manufacturer with
their targeted customers can be stated as a marketing(Shuai and Wu, 2011). It is an essential part
for a company to make improve their products quality and as well as the sale of the product and
service. Many tools are available like; print media, electronic media and internet which can be
used for marketing of products. This report is based on the use of social media e.g. Twitter and
Facebook for the marketing of Netflix which is an American entertainment company.
TASK 1
A medium which can be used by the electronic gadgets to make a communication in
between the people which are connected in to the virtual world can be stated as a social media
(Gummesson, 2011). This media platform can be used by a social media user to share their
videos, images and statement in to the people connected with them. Some of the social media
theories are here:
Conversion theory: According to this theory some of people can face a minority and
disproportionate in a particular group by the people in a majority. People in majority are easy to
susceptible by those people which are recently join a group. It is related to the social media cause
new users are not having any further alternatives.
Information and manipulation theory: It works on the information from an authentic source can
be consider on these conversational maxims which are i.e. quantity, quality, relation and manner.
Quantity elaborates that information is complete and quality describes about accuracy of the of
the information. Relation help to manage the relevancy of the information with the topic and
manner expression of the information in a way which helps to understand.
So these theories are included in to the social media by which a user can get authentic
information by the sources.
