I. Introduction
There are different networked applications provided by many companies, which has used for
managing different things in a better way. There is a different solution for managing the
infrastructure of a firm. In addition, network management is a huge task in front of a firm, as there
are many issues and challenges have faced by them in the implementation and management of
network and infrastructure. SolarWinds has launched AppOptics, which is a new application to
manage infrastructure and different things in a firm. It has built enhanced Digital Experience
Monitoring (DEM) functionality within Pingdom. Site24x7 has offered all-in-one monitoring
capabilities, which has used to monitor entire infrastructures, such as a server, network, website,
and cloud applications. This report will provide details about the OpManager, which are Site24x7
and AppOptics. This report will analyse both applications from different points of view. It will explain
the use of cloud-based monitoring applications.
II. Task-1
AppOptics
Real-Time Network Monitoring:
This software has based on different Information Technology (IT) assets, such as a server, network,
firewalls and internetworking devices of a firm. It is a cloud-based service, which is accessible from
anywhere and anytime [1].

Physical and virtual server monitoring
It has provided physical monitoring of different assets of a firm, such as a router and switches. There
are many companies, which have their servers at different locations. Therefore, it is necessary to
access the server virtually for monitoring different processes [3].

This application has included more than 150 plugins an integration to manage all the things without
any issue. It is an easy way to identify performance trends [4].
Socio-technical principles
It has managed different things, which have used for managing different issues and decision-making.
Real user monitoring is the best way to analyse different factors. It has created performance metrics
to automate monitoring [5]. In addition, this application has minimized downtime using early
warnings, which is helpful in the recovery process. It has monitored different applications of a firm,
such as transactions, hosts, applications, servers, and many more. It has provided different
monitoring, such as Azure monitoring, AWS monitoring, and more [6].
Site24x7
Real-Time Network Monitoring:
It has provided fast response services that are necessary for real-time network monitoring. An
administrator can monitor different things using this software. Admin can track the server’s
performance and notify of outages [7]. In addition, it can monitor the internet services of a firm,
such as DNS, SMTP, HTTPS, SSL, and many more. It can use for tracking web application performance
and uptime [8].
Furthermore, the network should be secure and it must be properly monitored using different tools
and techniques. It can be beneficial for the company as well. Moreover, uptime is a good factor in a
firm, which makes a huge impact on the business of a firm [7].

It is helpful in monitoring and controlling of different applications. It has provided log reports, which
is the best way to monitor suspicious activities.
Physical and virtual server monitoring
It has provided different solutions regarding monitoring and controlling of resources, such as
routers, servers, websites, and many others. It is beneficial for all types of company size, such as
small, medium and large. Virtual access is necessary for the present era, as most of the servers are
placed at different places. Thus, it is necessary to access virtual servers [9].
Socio-technical principles
The main advantage of this application is improving the performance of the system as well as
reducing faults and issues from the system. It will improve the uptime and it provides benefits to the
company. In addition, this application is beneficial for managing different things in a proper manager
without any interruption [10]. Moreover, network monitoring and server monitoring is necessary for
preventing the whole infrastructure from different threats. It has used to reduce risks from the firm.
It can be used for monitoring different things. Most of the applications are secured form third party
software. However, a hacker can attack the applications of a firm, which are useful for the firm.

III. Conclusion
In conclusion, OpManager has used for managing the IT infrastructure of a firm. There are many
advantages to cloud-based networked applications. It is necessary to improve the performance and
security of a firm from different types of issues and challenges. Most of the software has provided
full protection and monitoring of different resources.
This report has provided real-time network monitoring, physical and virtual server monitoring, and
socio techno principles of both applications. In addition, OpManager has provided monitoring
facilities, which is helpful in controlling and management of IT assets.
