How many network connections are available by default on this system?
In the default system 4 network connections are available during the creation of the
virtual machine and it can be increased and limited to 10.
Which ones are used by the operating system to connect to the host?
There are different kinds of network connection settings and they are given below:
Bridged connection – with the setting the VM have direct access to an external Ethernet
and separate IP address is used by the VM such that it can communicate with the other
computers in the network directly (Marshall et al., 2018).
NAT – A single network identity is shared by the host and the VM and it eliminates the
need of separate IP address for the VM.
Host-only – It is used for allowing the host to communicate with the VM using virtual
network adapter visible at the end of host OS. It is used for setting an isolated virtual network.
What is the difference between the host system and the virtualized system?
The host operating system runs on physical hardware whereas the virtualized system
represents the virtual hardware of the host OS. The main difference is in CPU utilization and if a
host system runs a virtual machine then it allocates the minimum system resources to the virtual
machine and thus the VP can report 100 percent CPU utilization while only 50 % of the physical
CPU is utilized (VMware Knowledge Base., 2019).

(DHCP) are.
DNS is used for mapping the domain name with the IP address and it acts as an address
resolver. It can be used for locating the active directory domain servers and eliminates the
requirement of memorizing the IP address and instead uses the domain name for the web
address.
DHCP is used as a protocol for assigning IP address to the host dynamically. It is used for
configuring the host automatically by assigning an IP address for a limited lease time.
