AI Summary
This report details the network design and implementation for a company with five departments: admin, HR, finance, engineering, and sales. The network employs a star topology, with each department connected via a router to a central switch, which then connects to various servers. Security is a key objective, with the admin department having full server access while other departments, such as engineering, have limited access, specifically excluding the finance department. The report outlines the project scope, design objectives (security, updates, collaboration, and adaptability), and functional and non-functional requirements. It also includes a network address table showing IP addresses used in router configurations. The design approach follows a top-down methodology, emphasizing user-centered design principles to ensure high convenience and alignment with user requirements. The conclusion highlights the importance of network design in achieving organizational goals and addresses challenges in network science, such as dynamics, spatial area, data proliferation, and the need for better modeling and analysis tools.

Introduction
This documentation is a report on implementation of network in a particular company. The
company has five departments. These include admin, HR, finance, engineering, and sales. The
five departments are connected together in the network. The network has different types of
servers. The admin can access all the servers while other departments like engineering have
limited access e.g. they cannot access finance department. How this configuration is done is
explained in the following report.
Project scope
The proposed arrange is intended to serve an Institution with five divisions which has 5 subnets.
The head, the HR and the back divisions are the main ones which approach the administrations
accessible in the foundation. The other two offices which are the Engineering and the Sales
offices approach the printer server and record server yet don't approach the back division.
Objectives of design
The network design is expected to meet the following operational objectives:
Security -The main target of this network design is to give secure authoritative registering
administration to the Institution's areas of expertise. It is expected to be practically and
physically detached from use by individuals who are not related with the particular
divisions to reduce the risk of unauthorized usage [1].
Update- at present there are numerous Local Area Networks in the offices, anyway a
noteworthy segment of the equipment is obsolete, a significant part of the LANs are
opposite with one another, though not related in a WWW. This recommendation portrays
a WAN which directs and updates these Local Area Networks to assist in productive joint
exertion over the workplaces.
Collaboration: The network will interface the power and capacities of contrasting
apparatus over the state to give a helpful medium that empowers customers to unite their
aptitudes paying little regard to their physical territory.
Adaptability: The diagram is flexible so more divisions can be incorporated as sponsoring
winds up open without re-trying the presented arrange [2].

Network design
The objective of the Network Design Approach is to make items which have high convenience.
This incorporates how helpful the item is as far as its utilization, sensibility, viability and how
well the item is mapped to the client necessities. The following are the general periods of
Network Design Approach considering User-Centered Design process [4]:
Specify setting of utilization: The exploration has recognized who the essential clients of
the system configuration are, the reason they will utilize the system outline and their
prerequisites and under what condition they will utilize it.
Specify Requirements: Once the setting is determined, it is an ideal opportunity to
distinguish the granular necessities of the system outline. This is an essential procedure
which can additionally encourage the originators to make storyboards, and set critical
objectives to influence the system to outline effective.
Create Design arrangements and advancement: Based on organize outline objectives and
prerequisites, begin an iterative procedure of system plan and improvement.
Evaluate arrange configuration: Network architects do ease of use testing to get clients'
input of the system. System assessment is a pivotal advance in organize improvement
which gives basic input of the system plan [5].
In this paper the Top-Down Approach has been utilized. It alludes to beginning the plan starting
from the highest layer and moving down. According to [6], the best down approach is most
appropriate for it permits a system and the important foundation to be adjusted to the necessities
of the system application. In this approach, the advances and gadgets are just chosen after a nitty
gritty examination of the prerequisites has been made. The accompanying capacities are critical
in a best down approach:

Examination: The prerequisites of the applications and the association are broke down in
detail.
Planning beginning from highest layer of the OSI display: This can be subdivided into
two sections - characterizing the necessities of the upper layers and indicating the
foundation for the lower layers.
Gathering extra data about the system.

Network topology
Star topology was used to configure the network. Each department has its on router with its
configuration. The routers are connected to one switch which is then connected to the servers in
the server room. Routers in each department are configured so that they have limited access to
servers.

Conclusion
Network design is among the indispensable segments in making sure that the goals are meet.
Network design is a collection of devices and end systems for instance, computers and the main
servers, which can communicate together. The physical segments refer to the gadgets which are
connected to the layout of the network design. Programming and firewalls acts as a noteworthy
segment in making sure that data is very secure and safe. There are seven noteworthy research
challenges the surmounting of which will empower advance in organize science:
Dynamics, spatial area, and data proliferation in systems. Better comprehension of the
connection between the design of a system and its capacity is required.
Modeling and examination of expansive systems. Devices, reflections, and
approximations are required that permit thinking about vast scale systems, and
additionally procedures for displaying systems portrayed by uproarious and inadequate
information.
Design and blend of systems. Procedures are expected to outline or adjust a system to get
wanted properties.
Increasing the level of thoroughness and scientific structure. A large number of the
respondents to the survey felt that the present best in class in organize science did not
have a suitably thorough scientific premise.
Abstracting normal ideas crosswise over fields. The dissimilar controls require basic
ideas characterized crosswise over system science.
Better analyses and estimations of system structure. Current informational indexes on
extensive scale systems have a tendency to be scanty, and apparatuses for researching
their structure and capacity are restricted.
