Report
AI Summary
This report focuses on TCP/IP configuration and network design, specifically addressing the requirements of a network design assessment. It explores three network design methodologies: Service Oriented Network Architecture (SONA), Intelligent Information Network (IIN), and the Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, and Optimize (PPDIOO) methodology. The report provides an overview of each method, including their pros and cons, and justifies the selection of the PPDIOO methodology for the given network design task. The assessment involves designing a network including routers, PCs, and switches, and implementing a dynamic routing protocol. The report references relevant academic sources to support its analysis and conclusions, providing a structured approach to network design and implementation.

Network Diagram Methods:
The requirement of the assessment 4 demonstrates a network design which will be
including router, PC, switch and routers. In this aspect for a proper type of routing dynamic
routing protocol will be utilized. In this network design, clients and the server will be connected
with some different types of network. Thus, analysing the requirements of the assessment 4 it has
been assessed that there are mainly three type of network designing methods which are the
service oriented network architecture (SONA), intelligent information network, and prepare,
plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize or the PPDIOO methodology.
The service oriented network architecture or the SONA is one of the important network
designing methodology. By using this type network designing methodology an existing network
can be modified very easily (Sun et al., 2018). In most of the cases the SONA is utilized for
including intelligence to the existing network. The SONA works by assuming that all the
networks which are currently existing will be unified and the data which are existing will be
traversing within a single type of network architecture (Mainanwal, Gupta & Upadhayay, 2015).
One of the main pros of this type network design is that any of the existing network can be
converted easily in the intelligent type of network. The main con which occurs in this aspect is
that the SONA is only applicable for the networks which are existing. Means, no new network
can be developed using SONA.
The next type of network design method is the intelligent information network or the IIN.
This type of network design methodology is having one advantage is that it is able to ensure that
when the business processes requires any type of information, this information can be provided
immediately (Johannisson, 2017). The main pros of this type of network design methodology is

that proper type of intelligence can be provided to the network when following this type of
network design methodology. While this type of network design methodology is used there are
various of complex processes involved with it and due to this factor it become very much critical
to use this type of network design methodology which is one of the important con in this case.
The PPDIOO or prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize is another type
of important methodology for the network design purposes. The PPDIOO methodology is also
known as the life cycle methodology which is used for the network management
(Sivasubramanian, Frahim & Froom, 2019). PPDIOO consists various of steps which are
important for the network design purposes. The important pros of PPDIOO is that it can increase
the network availability and the main cons of this network designing method is that it I quite a
lengthy process which takes a huge time to develop.
Justification for the selected Network Design Methodology:
PPDIOO methodology is selected for the network design of the assessment 4. As in this
case the network need to be developed from the initial stage the network design methodology of
the PPDIOO has been selected. This will be providing proper steps for designing the network
and for that it has been selected here.
