Network Design and Implementation Report

This report presents a solution to improve network performance and reliability. The current network suffers from a single broadcast domain, leading to slow speeds and high latency. The proposed solution involves implementing VLANs to segment the network into three broadcast domains (Commercial, HR, Engineering), each with its own subnet. To address the lack of redundancy, a ring network architecture with redundant Layer-3 switches is proposed. Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) will ensure link redundancy, while Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) will provide device redundancy. The report includes sample configurations for VLAN creation, STP, and HSRP on Cisco devices. The solution significantly enhances network efficiency and resilience.
