The below report attempts to highlight the role of network hardware components, network
design and the IOS modes in setting up networks. The report starts by listing the scope of the
project. Then the equipment required for the network gets mentioned. After that the report

Scope of Project
The network of Evergreen school should be supporting network connectivity for up to 400 students
along with 40 teachers.
The two buildings of the school for primary school and high school combined are supposed to host
computers of 20 classrooms.
The network should be able to provide both wired and wireless network connectivity from both
buildings of primary school and high school.
The wireless network strength should be strong enough to support WLAN connections for wireless
devices of both students and teachers.
The students and staff of Evergreen School should have different credentials for logging into the
school network.
Network Hardware Requirements
The different networking hardware required for setting up the network are:
A Cisco generic router of 2900 series for acquiring and routing Internet service from the ISP.
Three Cisco switches of model 2960, one of which is used as a multilayer switch while the other ones
act as access layer switches.
A wireless access point for the each floor of the school buildings to serve wireless connectivity for
the supported devices of both the students and the staff.

network access to the multilayer switch through the interface Fa0/0.
