AI Summary
This essay examines the increasing trend of cybercrime despite existing computer ethics rules and regulations. It highlights that cybercriminals exploit loopholes and a lack of awareness among internet users to manipulate individuals and obtain sensitive information. The essay also points out the difficulty in continuously monitoring internet activities, leading to underreporting of cybercrimes and further motivating criminals. The study concludes that raising awareness about cybercrime methods and promoting adherence to computer ethics are crucial steps in mitigating these threats within network management.

INTRODUCTION
Increasing cyber crime has become one of the most important concern for nations to
focus upon (Kamat & et. al., 2018). There are many computer ethics rules and regulation but
despite of these regulations, cyber crime is increasing continuously. This assignment ill focus
upon reason because of which there is a general trend in increase of cybercrimes.
MAIN BODY
Various research in this area have helped in understanding that in past few years
cybercrime has increased drastically. There are various kinds of set of rules that have been
developed in order to maintain a certain level of computer ethics but despite of these rules, cyber
criminals or hackers find a way for committing crime (Donalds & Osei-Bryson, 2019). There are
various reasons because of which cybercrimes are increasing drastically. first and the foremost
reasons is that today most of the cyber criminals successfully find loopholes in current computer
ethics rules and regulations. These codes and regulations of computer ethics are sufficient to
reduce cybercrime but due to lack of awareness, cybercriminals use it as an opportunity and
manipulate people (Paquet-Clouston, Décary-Hétu & Bilodeau, 2018). It is important to increase
awareness about cyber crimes because these criminals easily manipulate people and gain their
personal or sensitive information and use that information for committing crimes.
It has been observed that due to increasing number of laws, rules and regulations related
to computer ethics, it has become a bit difficult for such criminals to directly commit crime on
internet. So, they use this lack of awareness among internet users, opportunities for such
criminals increase. Nowadays it has been observed that most of the cyber crimes occur when
people respond to spam mails, provide their personal or sensitive information to cyber criminals
unknowingly (Alsultanny, 2020). It has also been observed that lack of awareness is not the only
reason because of which these attacks occur but there are many other reasons as well because of
which there is a general trend in increase of cybercrimes. One of those reasons is lack of
continuous monitoring. Internet is a vast sea which is used by 95 percent of people. So, it
becomes quite difficult t continuously track and monitor all the activities occurring on internet.
Most of the research that have been done in this area explains that if 100 percent of cyber crimes
are done then only 40 percent of them are reported. Due to this lack of continuous monitoring
cybercriminals get motivated and commit more crimes and find many other ways of committing
crimes as a result they do not take computer ethics rules and code seriously (Alsultanny, 2020). It

has also been observed that many times due to lack of awareness they commit these crimes
unknowingly.
CONCLUSION
So, it can be concluded that it is important to increase awareness about increasing
cybercrimes, methods used by such criminals for committing crimes, and rules or code of
computer ethics that are required to be followed by every computer users so that they do not
break any code unknowingly and commit cybercrime.
