Network Management Security: SNMP Configuration and Device Management

Information cannot be gathered
Information about the repository of the network data and device parameter can only be
collected by the agent using the SNMP MIB. It is used for sending unsolicited notification about
the network and send notification to the manager about the condition of then network. The
information about the receiving of acknowledgement and response cannot be gathered thus the
sender is unknown about the receiving of trap.

Defining a SNMP community string as ciscoR, with write-read only privileged in R105
Changing slot1 mode to down
Information cannot be gathered
For changing the slot1 to down state the information about the write-read only privilege is
necessary. The name of the community string is needed to be inputted correctly and verification
of the community string is also needed because the set mode does not work with the read only
access. Some of the information are available that is needed to be checked from the configuration
option such as the slot information. The slot 1 has the serial ports that are added during
connecting the router R105 with the router R104 and R106. For shutting it down using snmp the
information is needed to be gathered from the configuration.
