Part 1: The required informations
In order to develop an effective network system, it is necessary to consider the various
requirements of the new design and work accordingly. The Barranquilla Plaza Hotel wants to
redesign the existing network so that it can improve its network system. A plan is being made to
incorporate a new version of the network system that will help in the numerous operations of the
hotel. The issues that are being faced in the present scenario needs to be eradicated by
implementing the new network system and thus this is the primary target of the hotel
administration.

The Questionnaires purpose
A plan needs to be systematic and well organized in order to be successfully executed. In this
scenario the questionnaires are there to serve as a guideline in the process. These will help in
understanding the present issues along with the associated challenges thus providing a direction to
the work. The feedback that will be obtained from the questionnaire will be used to get an idea of
the prevailing problems related to the network from the various departments they have been
addressed to. It will serve as a comprehensive outline for the issues being faced thereby helping in
the redesigning process.
Verification and Validation Plan
Analysing the present situation of the network system of the hotel will give an idea about
the issues being encountered and the challenges in the process of implementation. The main thing
that will help in the redesigning is the customer reviews mainly of the dissatisfied ones as it will

the clients’ informations. It is difficult to carry out multiple configurations of the different switches
thus application profile can be way out of this problem. The network switches if configured to the
VTP servers do not require any multiple configurations. Accurate informations about the service
demands and other relevant details for example the server requiring better speed, server requiring
improvements and servers high in demand can be determined from the application profiles. On the
basis of these informations bandwidth usage can be provided that in turn will curb on the wastage of
the bandwidth of the network. It is important to work on the standard compliance and the
performance metrics before the network design is selected. This will help to resolve the issues that
are linked to the network’s performance. Preventing the non-compliance of the network devices will
help to ensure that the performance of the new network is optimized. Redundant link is another
important factor that needs to be considered while designing the infrastructure of the network. This
