This report details the technology implementation of security controls for FNU, a long-distance learning higher education organization. The report addresses network requirements, including improvements in online assignment submissions, BYOD policies, and Work at Home (WAT) capabilities. It emphasizes the need for robust security measures to protect data and ensure Quality of Service for both on-campus and off-campus users. The report outlines five key security controls: centralized authentication using LDAP, authorization with Cisco Access Control Server, cryptography with SafeNet 330 smartcards, device fingerprinting via Fingerbank, and malware defenses using Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool. Each control is described with its objective, resources used, system configuration, and a test plan design. The report concludes with a summary of the proposed security measures and their importance in safeguarding the network. References from various research papers are also provided to support the analysis.
