1. Proposal of the system
The project is prepared for the AMP Bank Ltd. for the development of the network
solution and three tier server model is proposed providing the user access to the dynamic and the
static content. The business layer is used for storing the business logics such as data insertion,
validation of data and calculations. The business layer acts as an interface between the data
access and the client layer for increasing the communication speed in the network. The data layer
consists of the ERP, database and the mainframe that is used for storage of the customer data of
the bank. The database is connected with the other sources of data for performing insert, update
and delete function for the insertion of data in the database. The three tire architecture is selected
because the performance is higher and each of the tire can be expanded horizontally.
2. Reason for the selection
The main reason for the selection of the three tier architecture is secure the internal
resources of the bank and accommodate the growth of the bank. It can be used for adoption of
the flexible changes in the bank without affecting the whole network components installed in the
network. It can be separated from the different tiers for carrying different task and increase the
compatibility of the framework. With the development of the network infrastructure following
the three tier architecture the security of the network can be improved. The three tire architecture
can be easily maintained and has better reusability that can be used for improvement of the
performance of the network. The logics of the user interface can be separated from the business
logic for development of a secure network solution for AMP Bank Ltd. The tire 1 of the network
consists of the client end Pc, the tire 2 consists of the different types of servers and the tire 3
consists of the mainframes, database and the resource managers. The five servers of the network

network infrastructure of AMP Bank Ltd needs to be modified for the accommodation of the
changes. The following are the details of the network plan used for the development of the
network.
The server is installed for recording the bank data and applications and specification of

Memory - 16 Gb RAM
Storage – 3 Disk with 500 Gb each
I/O – 2 monitors, 1 printer, 1 Mouse and 1 keyboard
Networking – 350 number of PCs are required to be installed at different location of the
office building. Local area network is developed for the connection of the computers installed in
the network and allowing the users to communicate with different department for increasing the
efficiency of the workplace. Each of the department are provided with a wireless access point
