1.0 Introduction

Sunnyvale Animal Clinic team. You are most welcome Pat, it our pleasure to have you in this
clinic. First of all, you need to understand you task in this company that is being a
Runner/Floater. Runner/floater is a person who floats. It means that an employee of an

3.0 Sunnyvale Animal Clinic code of ethics
Our organization code of ethics outline our mission and values of our organization, how our
company professionals will approach challenges. Our company minimum requirements
would be as follows:
3.1 Dressing code
Dressing appropriately is what is required in our company. We need all our workers to wear
clothes that portrays respects to our clients and the outsides. You should note that our
dressing code is official wear and no jeans allowed. Ear piecing and tattoos is not allowed
and any beach of this dressing code will tackle appropriately (Carrese, et al. 2015).
4.0 Your responsibilities
Your responsibility at Sunnyvale Animal Clinic will be assist:
I. Receptionist
II. Technicians
III. Pharmacist
IV. Assist in cleaning
I know that you have knowledge and skills necessary to work in this veterinary clinic because
you must have gone through a comprehensive interview from our recruiting team. Your main
task will revolve around the above four responsibilities assigned to you. Generally what we
expect from you is to assist others workers to perform their duties efficiently when requested.
It is important for you to note that our employees will not always know when they need
assistance, they will not bother asking you for their assistance but it is important for you to
observe and identify people who need you assistance. If you see someone going through
some challenges, do not be afraid to as if they might require your help. Since we are dealing

with animals, please note that some animals are cruel when they are going through some pain
and you need to be careful because they might bite you (Maxwell & Schwimmer, 2016).
4.1Assisting receptionist
Our receptionist will teach you how you will deal with our client’s phone calls, for instance,
you will need to keep record on all bets that are brought to the clinic, you must note: the bet
name, owners name and the owner’s phone number. Most of our calls will be about our
customers wanting to make medical appointments their bets. But with this your work will be
easier since we already have computer software in place. Our receptionist will teach you how
to do this. When clients are asking about prices on calls, you should hold the call first and
transfer the call to the tech station. If the clients is asking about the medicine you should first
check if there is anyone on the pharmacy to transfer the calls to them. Ensure that you switch
off the receptionist phone when the clinic closes (Salloch et al. 2016).
4.2 Assisting technicians
If the reception room is not busy, you will need to assist our clinic technicians. Because this
are the guys who always needs assistance. You can offer assistance to them by holding on the
animals when they are being treated or vaccinated. If you see a technician trying to trim
animal’s claws or trying to measure temperature and need some assistance, offer the help by
holding the animals, this animals might bite but our technicians will teach you an appropriate
way of holding this. You are required to work hard in order to deliver your duties successful.
Helping our technical staff will help you gain experience which would open doors for you for
future opportunities. The more efficient our workers are, the better service are going to be
offered for our clients and hence our company will retain and acquire new clients (Davies,
2017).

4.3 Pharmacist
Once you gain experience in the company, you can be a pharmacist. Your work hear will be
to prescribe and give dugs to animals. Our technicians will assist you to label all medicines to
make you work easier.
4.4 Cleaning
You should do any other task that is assigned to you. Note that you should try to do any other
task that you have not be trained as long as it will assist on achieving the company objectives.
At the end of the day you will have to do cleaning and we expect our cooperation on this.
Every day after the clinic is closed, you are supposed remove any trash from the clinic by
pouring trash bags which it is always put in the cat room. The entrance of the cleaning must
be clean daily or when it is dirty, the entrance loopy always have lots of animal fur, urine
collection and metal tins should lean thoroughly (Suryanto, 2016).
Any dirty cages in the ICU, Cat room or the isolation room should be kept clean. For each
and every cage, you should take to sink, rinse it, spray using Trifectant and leave it to dry.
Though newspapers from the cage and dispose them. Go back to the sink and rinse it.
Ensure that animals always gain access to the clean water. Please not that animals who go
through surgery is not allowed to drink water until after 24 hrs
