Scope overview
The project scope is related to installation of new playground for children, incorporating
climbing nets with two slides which will be under 1000 square meters of green space. Project
will be done by using the best resources and safety office must be stipulated within the surface
under climbing nets, made with soft-fall materials. Scope of project is good, where budget of
around 250,000 has been allocated by local council for completion of project. Council wants
playground to be ready within time period coinciding with summer holidays, which is only 6
months away. It is also essential aspect to analyses scope of project, before starting any project
and also resource mobilization enables wider scale formation of forming new working synergy.
Scope will enable in depth analysis on project management, for gaining focus towards bringing
effective competition. The scope of project to install new playground incorporates climbing nets
with two slides, which will enable children good soft material based place to play. Project has
deadline of 6 months, for enveloping effective completion of project within stipulated time
period and also gaining the best completion within the right direction as per quality standards
(Gurgler and Sick. 2021).
Business case
The business case element in project charter is formal document intended to convince a
decision maker to approve formal approval in project, where well-crafted business case explores
all feasible approaches. It further enables business owners to select best resource options which
serves the best goals, and to bring on wider scale expansion with working outputs. Background
of project is based on aspect, where open space is currently home to derelict vehicle and waste
materials dumped over years. It is also prone to flooding, as the installation of pathways from
street to playground equipment’s. The benefit of installing new playground, and using soft fall
materials is based on aspects that playground will enable children to enjoy comfortable
experience while playing. Business case also explains there will be strategic focus pertained on
removing existing pitfalls in project, using resources cost effectively within the stipulated
project and also to keep up affirmative benchmarks attained in the longer time period.
Background
Local council gave in principle approval for installation of new playground which will be
incorporating nets with two slides made with soft surface resources. It is essential to know

detailed background of project, where land of around 1000 square meter with green space has
been allotted. Project has been allocated a nominal budget of 250, 000 where installation of best
safety practices from streets to playground equipment’s. The time period for completion of
project is only 6 months which will be focused on for keeping up working targets. The space of
project will be based on resource informative usage, to operatively expand on new resources and
also bring on new competent productive completion (Harold, 2021). The background of project
also enables us to analyse that project will be focused on establishing playground for children,
removing pitfalls and to keep up benchmarks active for strengthening’s further targets actively.
Milestone scheduled with acceptance criteria
Milestone schedule provides an estimated timeline for an entire project. In the context of
present project, Planning is first milestone schedule which needs to be completed within 1
month. Thus, the acceptance criteria for the same is such that if it is completed within 1 month
then the milestone scheduled is accepted, otherwise it is further reviews by experts in order to
check if any error found.
Risks, assumptions and constraints
Risk:
Risk are anything which can potentially disrupt your project or an entire team
(Rosenberger and Tick, 2018). Similarly, to develop a new playground there are many risks
associated with the project which includes Financial constraint. Such that community allocated
a defined budget of $250000 for the project and due to over budget, the project might not fill the
required outcomes.
Moreover, not met with defined deadline is another risk linked with the project which
affect the project in adverse manner. Such that, project manager must ensured that all the
defined task are completed on specific deadline, if not then it causes delay.
Assumptions:
It is the factor which is considered true and real without any proof or evidence. In the
context of present project, there are many assumptions which are as mentioned below:
 Resources are used effectively
 During rainy season, cheap labor will be available.
 Team members do not have required skills.
 All stakeholders took interest and attend the meeting.

 Personnel cost will not change during the project cycle.
Constraints:
It is the limiting factors that direct causes impact upon the quality, delivery as well as
overall project success. Therefore, in order to develop new playground, the project constraints
are related to Cost, in which project will be completed either over-budget or under budget
(Hermano and Martín-Cruz, 2019). Moreover, another constraint is Quality which means that
resources used by the project management is not up to the mark and this in turn causes delay in
the project as well.
Resource estimates
It is the process through which project team members carefully complies a thorough
listing of resources which is actually required in order to complete the project. Thus, a
successful utilization of resource estimates assists that enough resources are acquired without
any wastage and excessive expenditure (Sepasgozar and et.al., 2019). In the same way, for the
present study project manager might use some tools in order to estimate its essential resources
which includes judgment of experts in which before estimating a resource, project manager
consult with other experts who had already performed the task. It is either related to financial
resource and personnel resources.
Moreover, PM can also use the software in order to estimate the resource need and then
find the best solution for a project as well. For the project, there are three types of resources
required which includes technological resource, financial resource and human resources.
Stakeholder list
Stakeholder is that party who has an interest in a project and some of them either affected
the entire project or not (Stakeholder analysis, 2020). In order to installation of a new
playground, there are different stakeholders involved within a project which are as mentioned
below:

High power, highly interested people (Manage closely): These are fully engaged with a
project and also make efforts in order to satisfy them. For example, community and investors are
the stakeholder who fall under this category and also ensure that other people are satisfied with
the same.
High power, less interested people (keep satisfied): They put enough work in order to let
others keep satisfied, however they become bored with the message as well. Like, customers i.e.
students for whom the playground is designed.
Low power, highly interested people (Keep informed): They are the stakeholder to
whom project manager must share the decision. Like, project manager is the only who must
know all the decisions.
Low power, Less interested people (monitor): Before implementing project, there is a
need to have approval for the same. Like, they have to took permission from government in
order to successfully launch the same.
Team operating principles
In order to successfully implement the new playground within community, there is a
need to comply with the principles of team operating which are as mentioned below: Communication: There should be proper communication between each member,
otherwise it will lead to cause distortion of communication that delay the project as well. Equality: All the team members must treat each other with dignity and respect so that
they support to generate valid outcomes (Lüttge, 2020).
 Accountability: Team members should ensure that they must comply with their own
defined roles and responsibilities that assists them to meet the defined aim within
specific deadline.
Lessons learned
Through the above, I have identified that in order to successfully implement the project,
there is a need to have talented team members who support each other while making decision.
Moreover, I also enhanced my project management abilities, earlier I do not have enough
knowledge regarding project charter. But, the project offer me an opportunity to improve the

skills which will assists in my career plan. In addition to this, I have enhanced the knowledge
gained from the process of conducting a project. Therefore, I also identify the mistake which
will not performed in near future which includes project planning and identify the resource
estimation because the entire budget is depended upon the project. Through the PMBOK, I
realized that all the actions and activities are interrelated to each other and they support to meet
the defined aim
Signatures and commitment
In order to implement the project, team members must commit that they understand their
own roles and responsibilities. Also, project manager should also ensure that they complete the
project in a defined budget. Further, through proper commitment, each team member understand
the sense of what is required and tries to fulfill the work as well. Moreover, the signature also
implies that all the key stakeholders are agreed with the defined terms and condition.
