can be delivered to customer. The report examines, benefits of adapting new technology, plans
and strategies which is used by managers. Part two is reflective writing in which personal
experience is shared and part three is personal development plan.
Part one: Report
Introduction
Adapting to new technology means to implement new machines or techniques so
that employees can work efficiently. This is an issue which is faced by many companies and they
have to solve issues (Graham, 2019). Nowadays, competition is increasing and it is important to
apply new techniques to make good quality products and satisfy need of customers. Adapting to
new technology is an issue because it requires huge investment and training to employees should
be given.
MAIN BODY
Adapting to technology is beneficial for an organisation because it helps in
motivating employees and achieving targets of company. It is important for an organisation to
apply new techniques so that employees can work efficiently and focus on achieving targets of
company. It is essential to adapt new technology because it helps in easy, faster and effective
communication among employees. It provides better and more efficient manufacturing
techniques which helps in growth and development of company. When new technology is used
then there is less wastage of resources. Training is provided to workers so that they can use
resources efficiently and there will be proper utilisation of resources (Kyung and Park, 2020).
Adapting new technology is beneficial for organisation as it helps in more efficient stock
management and ordering system. Using new techniques effective marketing and promotion. It
helps in boosting confidence of employees and ability to develop new and innovative
approaches. Managers are identifying market situation and they are responsible for implementing
new technology so that work can be completed on time. It is essential for an organisation to
adapt new technology because it helps in achieving goals and objectives of company. Most of the
companies are adopting new technology because it helps in gaining competitive advantage and
more profit can be generated. Applying new technology helps in improving overall performance
of company and increases productivity of firm. Adapting new technology is beneficial for

company as it helps in identifying choice of people and products can be made accordingly so that
their needs can be satisfied. Managers of a firm should analyse market situation and determine
plans or strategies which is used by competitors and make better plans to gain competitive
advantage. Using new technology helps in attracting people and more profit can be earned by
company (Ketzenberg and Metters, 2020).
Adapting new technology has negative impact on companies as technology is
changing rapidly and it is difficult for managers to implement new machines. Competition is
increasing and to gain competitive advantage it is important to use new machines so that better
products can be provided to people and their needs can be satisfied. There are some
disadvantages of adapting new technology in an organisation like, it requires huge investment to
purchase new machine. After implementing new machine, training should be provided to
employees because they are not having knowledge. When training is provided to employees it
requires funds and this is disadvantage for company (Direction, 2017). It increases dependency
on technology and increased risk of job cuts. Implementing new technology involves risk of
security in relation to data and fraud.
It is the responsibility of managers to identify plans and strategies applied by
competitors and implement technology which is beneficial for growth and development of
organisation. When new machines or techniques are implemented then employees depend on
technology and they are not working properly. There is rapid in technology and it is essential to
apply technique which is of less price and helps in achieving goals & objectives of firm.
Disadvantages of technology like, data security, complexity, privacy concerns, social disconnect,
work overload. These are some negative impact of adapting new technology which is faced by
organisation and they have to find solution so that goals and objectives can be achieved.
In NHS, managers are conducting market survey and analysing need of customer
so that better services can be provided and it helps in achieving goals and objectives. It is
essential to provide good services to patients so that their needs can be satisfied. Micro and
macro factors are analysed and plans are made accordingly. this helps in achieving targets and
satisfy need of customers.

CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it can be concluded that, adapting new technology has positive as
well as negative impact on companies. Managers are responsible for identifying market situation
and make plans accordingly. positive impact of new technology on firm like, improving overall
productivity of company, boost confidence of employees, increase revenue of company etc. has
been discussed. Further, negative impact of implementing new technology like, increase
dependency on technology, huge investment is required, training programs are arranged for
employees has been described. In NHS, innovative techniques are used so that good services can
be provided to patients and their health can be improved. Benefits of adapting new technology
has been discussed and how it helps in accomplishing goals and objectives of company.
PART TWO: Reflective Writing
It is extremely important to have different kinds of skills and knowledge by an individual, as
it can directly help them in completing a task in an appropriate manner within allotted time
period. It is first and foremost responsibility of managers to divide work or task as per
specialisation of employees as it helps in achievement of desired objectives. Academic skills
play a crucial role within an organisation, as it helps employees to work efficiently. Not only
this, it further helps them in focusing upon achievement of goals and objectives of firm. I am
working as a manager at NHS and it is one of my abilities of managing time and completing
work within specified time period. This skill directly helps me in managing my overall work and
task at NHS. But other than this, I do have some weaknesses and some skills that are required to
be improved such as research and analysis skill, and communication skill. Due to this it becomes
extremely important for me to bring improvement within these skills in order to work efficiently
within this organization and for bringing improvement within my work. It is important to have
good communication skill because it helps in interacting with people and influence others. For
accomplishing goals and objectives.
Due to lack of effective research and analysis skill, my overall performance has degraded as
I failed to gather relevant information. In NHS, in order to bring improvement within my
analytical skills, I had focused upon taking help from senior members. Academic skills are
beneficial in terms of personal growth and development of an individual so that overall quality of
their work is not affected and can be completed within defined time period. It is important to
have good research and analysis skills, so that details of patient can be identified.

Another one of my main weaknesses was effective communication skills and due to this, my
interaction with patients, colleagues etc. were affected. Due to lack of effective communication, I
was not able to interact with patients in an effective manner. This further helped me in
understanding that, it is important to have good communication skill so that proper interaction
can be done with patients.
While working in the organisation, I have learnt various things and have developed some
important skills that are important and beneficial for my growth and development. Working on
my research and analysis skills helped me in gathering relevant information and further
improved my work efficiency which eventually helped and supported me in achieving main
goals and objectives in an appropriate manner. It was extremely important to work upon
development of these skills, so that work can be completed efficiently. While working in NHS, I
had leanrt various new thing and had developed new skills that directly helped me in achieving
my goals. Research skills helps in gathering relevant information and analytical skills helps in
bringing improvement within overall performance of an individual.
There are various many other kinds of skills that are required to be developed and many
things to learn as a person should not stop learning because it helps in growth and development
of a person. I am continuously working upon bringing improving my performance and making
plans so that my overall performance can be enhanced. I am further focusing upon learning new
things and skills from my seniors so that my overall knowledge can be enhanced and new
required skills can be developed.
