Background
Uber is a thriving organization that is based on the audience base that it has created with
the help of improving the communication standard around the globe. The business organization
is highly dependent on the drivers and workers. There are a total of 3 million drivers of Uber
located across the globe. This proves the intensity of business making that Uber is doing.
Business of Uber is completely based on the application that is used by the drivers. This
application is the driving force of the business organization. The drivers follow the commands
that are provided by the application. Hence the application that I used by the driver must be easy
to use. Hence complexity must be reduced. Despite reducing of the complexity of the application
thee main concern that is taken into consideration is that depth of the application must not be
reduced.

Project Selection methods that can be used for developing the new Uber application
The methods that will be implemented in making proper decisions regarding decision
making of project selection are calculation of the Net Present Value, calculation of the discount
cash flow, Strategic fit rule can also be performed in order to make the decisions regarding
choosing of the project, Usage of 80/20 rule can also be used in decision making (Gonçalves &
Von Wangenheim 2016). This methods will be used for better commencing of the development
process of the Uber application. These varied methods will ensure that the commencing of the
project will be performed as per decisions that will be made as per the commencement of the
system of uber application. These technologies will help in better understanding of the
sustainability of the project (Varajão, Colomo-Palacios & Silva 2017).

Calculating Net Present value
Net Present value is concerned about the functioning of the difference that will be present
in between the cash that is inflowing and the cash that is being out flowing. Net Present value
calculation of the newly developed Uber application will help in better understanding of the
sustainability of the entire project. This is one of the major aspect that will help in calculating the
prospect of capital budgeting (Dudley, Banister & Schwanen 2017). This calculation of the
budgeting process includes the aspect that deployment decision making can be performed. With
this process the main advantage that will be present includes better estimation of retrieving
period of money. This is one of the major aspect that helps in better commencing of the project.
This will help the board of directors to calculate the profits that will be earned in the recent
times. Hence managing of the process will ensure that proper management of the Uber
Application can be performed in a better manner (Hayes, Snow & Altuwayjiri 2017). The
discount rates or the amount that can be earned as per alternate means are also considered in this
system. Hence proper decision making can be made regarding accepting the project of
developing of the Uber application. Designing of the new Uber application must be performed
only if the Net present Value of the Uber application will be high.
Discount Cash Flow
Discounted cash flow has been one of the major aspect that has been affecting the project
functioning in a manner that has been performing in a better manner. This will help in
calculating the processes that will help in better understanding of the entire aspect of the project
scenario. This will ensure that newly developing Uber application election model will be
performed as per understanding of the entire scenario will get enhanced as the evaluation of the
investments that are being made presently (Rogers 2015). This values are calculated with the

functional as per deciding regarding choosing the project of developing of the new Uber
application. It is expected that the project with higher DCF that the cost that is incurred in the

incurred in the developing process, the project must not be taken and hence proper decision
making can be performed.
Strategic Fit
Strategic Fit is one of the best decision making tool and method that can be used for
deciding whether to take up the new project of creating of a less complex application. This
process ensures that commencing of the entire system as proper definition of scope will be done.
This definition of scope will be performed form both the board of directors and the developing
team. Strategic fit is used for proper decision making of the starting developing of the new Uber
app because the function of the entire system will start only if the scope of both the developing
team and the board of directors will be same (Cohen et al., 2016). Proper negotiation process will
be performed in order to start the developing team. In case the negotiation process is not
performed in a proper manner, developing process stops. Hence this process will also help in
understanding the viability of the project. With the help of the understanding of viability of the
development process, will help in better processing of decision making. This also helps in
understanding the difference of the scope set of both the developing team and the board of
directors and analysis of both their protocols must be made (Glöss, McGregor & Brown 2016).

start the developing of New Uber application. This is one of the major aspect that benefits the

register. Scope management will be used for understanding thee goal of the newly developing
application of Uber. Requirement management plan will help in gaining inputs regarding the

Stakeholder management plan will help in providing proper input regarding managing the
stakeholders of the business organisation (Moon 2015). This ensures the fact that processing of
the entire scenario will be affected in a positive manner as the developing of the new Uber

responsibilities. Project charter is the ultimate documentation that is used for approval of the
