NewAccess Information System: Improving Youth Mental Health Support

This report outlines the vision for a NewAccess information system aimed at supporting the mental health of young individuals, particularly those aged 17 to 25, with plans to extend support to younger age groups. The system addresses the problem of repetitive recounting of issues by affected youth to different professionals by storing their stories for easy accessibility. The analysis considers financial, human resource, and technological aspects, highlighting benefits such as improved financial assistance, efficient use of healthcare professionals at Headspace, and remote assistance capabilities. The system's capabilities include quick information processing, enhanced coordination, better decision-making, and automation. The report also formulates a system requirement model using a use case diagram, illustrating the relationships between stakeholders like Headspace owners, medical staff, business analysts, and system users, emphasizing the system's role in fulfilling user demands.

Introduction
With the change in the lives, various youth age group has undergone the mental illness and
anxiety. NewAccess interfere in checking the mental health of youth of age group 17 to 25 which
will also soon involve the analysis on the youth of age group of 12. This system is analysing the
youth from all over the world and also the indigenous youth. This new information system is the
new requirement with which some of the organisation will undergo for trailing and Headspace is
one of the organisations.
Project Vision Document
Problem: The problem with the current system is that every time affected young people meet
the professionals, they have to recite the same issue they have. At most of the time, they do not
tell all the required information which makes the professional unable to solve the issue. The new
information which is going to develop should have the functionality to store the story. So, an
easy accessibility can be provided to the professionals for helping them.
Analysis of the certain criteria: Headspace undergone for the trailing of the information
system so that appropriate assistance can be provided to the affected young people. There is a
specific analysis done for the requirement of the information system described as follows:
 Financial: Information system will help the young people financially as when the issues
of a particular person are stored then appropriate professional will contact that person to
assist. This will save both time and money for the person.
 Human resource: The available human resource at the Headspace Organisation includes
the caseworker, medical staff in the emergency department including practitioner, a
psychologist, a psychiatrist and so on. These professionals help the young people from
their mental illness and the anxiety. The newly developed information will not only help
the professional in getting the information about their issues but also their contact details
such that they can contact them for the appointment to discuss.
 Technological: Some of the people are away from the reach of the centres and thereby
they require remote assistance so that they can get appropriate medical advice. This is
technological support provided by the new information system through voice call or
video call. This information system is not only limited to the assistance but also provided
remote assistance.
Capabilities: Information system improves the functionality of an organisation and also
manages the operations to manage the staff and other resources of an organization. Particularly,
here the main motive of the Information system is to provide storage of claims associated to the
customers and provide the accessibility to the professional so that they can assist the patient.
Besides this, it will provide support in the competitive advantage to the Headspace Hospital in
addition to the future possibility of migration to new and advanced technology. With the
deployment of the Information System, the capabilities of the organisation will include the:

 Provides good coordination between the professional and the patient
 Greatly helps in decision making
 Established a certain routine practice and develops disciplined workplace
 Supports automation in the organization so that efforts and the time of the staff
can be preserved
 It is designed always for the specific purpose so that the requirement of the users
can be fulfilled (Joshi, 2018).
Benefits: Information system is a good perspective of the platform which supports highly
effective management of data when there is a high amount of data. There are many benefits as
described here:
 It not only manages the data but also the other major other factors such as human
resources, cost and so on.
 It enables for the real-time data and data keeps updated in the context of both the
organisation and the users.
 It improves the communication channel so that there must be proper information
sharing with no any error (Eventura, 2015).
 It also reduces the risk of errors in the context of the replication of the data.
 The system it supports provides a higher level of security so that there cannot be
any loss of information in an unauthorised way.
 It does not only provide alternative methods to fulfil the demand of the customer
but also enhances the skills of the employees by allowing them to learn from the
system.
 It always provides the maximum possible data about the customers so that the
very best possible can be taken place (Woodruff, 2018).
Formulation and justification of system requirement model
The model required to specifically work between the owners of the Headspace Hospital, medical
staff and the professionals, business analyst and the system user. All these four categories will be
connected to the system. Business system will function for the development of information
system and its design. It is also responsible for the securing the system. Medical staff can access,
control, share, secure and analyze the data associated with the users.
Information system is required here for the accomplishing the demand of the users. This can be
understood by the analyzing the use case diagram given below. Use case diagram describes the
relationships between the stakeholders and their requirements (Nishadha., 2015). It focuses on
both the external behaviour and internal design of the system (Microsoft, 2015).

Conclusion
This report demonstrates the vision of the project for the requirement of the information system
so that the requirement of the Headspace Hospital so that it can assist the mentally ill young
people. NewAccess is in the phase of support the assistance. This report describes the problem,
capabilities and benefits of the information system when deployed with the hospital. Here, I also
presented to the system requirement model with the help of the use case diagram which describes
the requirement of the users.
