Project
AI Summary
This research project investigates consumer attitudes towards electronic cars within the UK car industry, focusing on Aston Martin. The study aims to identify ways to change consumer perceptions and examines the benefits and challenges for Aston Martin in attracting customers to electronic vehicles. The research employs a quantitative approach, using questionnaires to gather data from 50 electronic car users selected via probability sampling. Data analysis involves frequency distribution analysis. Ethical considerations are addressed through informed consent and adherence to research ethics principles, including minimizing harm and protecting confidentiality. A Gantt chart is used for project timeline management.

Brief title of investigation:
INVESTIGATION INTO CONSUMER ATTITUDES TOWARDS ELECTRONIC CARS IN THE UK CAR
INDUSTRY
Aims/Purpose of the study:
Main aim of the current research is “To identify the ways for changing consumer attitudes
towards electronic cars within UK car industry: A study on Aston Martin
Objectives
ď‚· To study the consumer attitudes towards UK car industry
ď‚· To identify the ways for changing consumer attitudes towards electronic cars within
UK car industry
ď‚· To examine the benefits of changing consumer behaviour for Aston Martin as a UK
car industry
ď‚· To determine the challenges that would be faced by Aston Martin in attracting
customers towards electronic car
Proposed participants in research:
Main participants within current research is the 50 consumer who used electronic cars. These
respondents will be selected randomly under probability sampling.
Brief description of procedure:
There are different methods that will be used for collecting accurate information regarding the
topic. There are various methodologies that will be applied within current investigation.
These are described as below;
Data collection: There are two methods of data collection such as primary and secondary.
Within this research, both primary and secondary will be selected by researcher as these helps
in attainment of research aim and objectives in successful manner.

Research approach: Qualitative and quantitative are two approaches of the research. Within
this research, quantitative will be a selected approach of data collection. Main reason
regarding the selection of quantitative approach is it provide numerical information in less
time period.
Sampling: There are two types of sampling such as probability and non-probability. Both
sampling is effective but within this research, probability will be a selected technique as it
helps in selection of larger sample in less time period. By using probability sampling, 50
consumers are selected randomly. These respondents are those who used electronic cars.
Along with this, current research is conducted in UK by identifying the consumer behvaiour
towards electronic cars.
Equipment\ technique: There are different techniques of data collection such as interview,
questionnaire, observation, focus group etc. All these are effective but questionnaire will be a
selected equipment because it provides numerical and first-hand data within minimum time.
Evidence of how it has been established that the methodology proposed will produce
sufficient data to draw meaningful conclusions:
(give references to previous literature; explain how
data will be generated, and procedures for analysing data)
The data will be generated through questionnaire as a research instrument. In order to analysis
quantitative data, frequency distribution analysis will be used. This is an analytical technique
that helps in analysing quantitative information within less time period.
How will participants’ informed consent be obtained for the study?
(Please give details, including
details of procedures involving parental or guardian consent.)
Consent form will be obtained by researcher from participants by providing accurate
information about each activity of research.
Does the study involve any potential hazards or procedures which might cause distress or
discomfort?
(Indicate all that apply)
Questionnaires touching on sensitive issues YES NO
Deception YES NO
Experimental procedure that might cause distress – even inadvertently YES NO
Designs involving stressful situations YES NO

Does this study involve potentially security sensitive material (such as
material relating to terrorism and extremism)?
YES NO
If YES, please complete and attach with your application the following:
Security-sensitive research Form 1 (General questions on security-sensitive
material) and Security-sensitive research Form 2 (Record of accessed and
saved documents).
What procedures will be used to address these issues?
(e.g. debriefing, providing information/help,
ensuring confidentiality is preserved. The Research Ethics Committee may ask to see copies of relevant
documents.)
In order to address ethical issues, there are different principles of research ethics such as
minimising the risk of harm, obtaining informed consent, protecting confidentiality etc.
Plan of work
(if appropriate please outline the timescales you intend to work to)
Gantt chart will be used for completing full work within given time period. This is a bar chart
that helps in identifying starting and ending dates of each activity. Along with this, Gantt
chart of the present study is mentioned as below;
