Next-Generation Cyber Trap for Corporate Intrusion Detection Servers

This project dissertation delves into the realm of next-generation cyber traps for corporate intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS). It explores the critical need for robust security measures in enterprise businesses, addressing the vulnerabilities exposed by increasing cyber threats. The project introduces a proposed solution involving a cyber trap system designed to detect and prevent intrusions. The dissertation covers various aspects of the system, including the implementation of malware detectors, intrusion detectors, honeypot managers, auditors, and backup managers. It examines technologies like firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) and discusses the challenges organizations face in deploying and managing these systems, such as ensuring effective deployment, managing high alert volumes, understanding and investigating alerts, and responding to threats effectively. The project emphasizes the importance of proactive security measures to safeguard sensitive data and information against cyberattacks.
