Executive Summary
NextGen Systems, Inc is an Advertising company which is interested in Implementing its
network system. The company is new and wishes that all its processes may be implemented in
one Network system whereby the processes can be conducted with ease. It has two branches
which will be organized in order to communicate. One station will be setup as the headquarter
and the other as the branch. The users in the System will experience a fast and a convenient
system in delivering their work. The implementation of the new system will improve the
production quality of the company, enable easy communication and efficient way of accessing
the top management which happens to be placed in different cities - Detroit and in Boston. The
system implementation is aiming also to improve the confidential data sent over the network.
The system implementation will require several network hardware devices which are able
to use different and complex technology. This will result to a more compatible network
architecture whose results are reliable, fast and confidential and maintenance will be very easy.
The network implementation will be able to use the latest technology which will improve the
troubleshooting of the whole system at a cheaper and easy way. The hardware configuration will
be improved by installing hardware to solve the problem of slow network access which is being
experienced by the advertisers. The company will now experience a more convenient network
where they can send their sales representative through the email and thus they save time since no
need to meet the officials physically. Users will now be able to get the discounts and the updates
on time and in the convenient way where they will be able to receive notifications through the
phone and also through the NSI website. The NSI implementation will also help in the mode of

data storage where they will be using the cloud data storage for easy retrieval of data in the
convenient way.
Introduction
NextGen Systems, Inc. is a new advertising company which is need of network
Infrastructure to run its processes in a more convenient way. The Network implementation will
be installed in two different locations of the company whereby one will be situated in Detroit and
other in Boston. The one in Detroit will be the main office. They are configured to ensure that
there is an ease of communication between the two stations. The NSI company has several
departments which will be working together to accomplish the desired objective.
The company starts with 88 employees which are from different departments and are
performing different tasks all together. The company has the following departments: The
Executive department which normally referred to the Administration. It has the role of general
management whereby all activities in the company will be run and managed by the individuals
involved in this department. The Executive department comprises of 8 members who work
together to ensure that the company runs well and any issue is sorted by them, Kaplan and
Maxwell (2015).
The other department which is in the NSI company is the Accounts and Sales
Department. This department comprises of 12 employees whose work is to coordinate and
manage the company’s accounts and also manage the market research of the company.

The next department is the Creative, Media and Production department which is
responsible for the marketing and advertising the products in the company. This department will
comprise of 51 members.
Human Resource and Finances department is also part of the company. It will comprise
of only 13 employees who are responsible for the HR and also the financial duties in the
company.
The NSI company will be in need of IT consultants who will be responsible for the
maintenance of the whole network system and ensure that each department is comfortable with
the new Network Infrastructure. The IT department will comprise of only 4 dedicated
employees.

Features of Windows Server 2016
The NSI company will use the 2016 Windows Server has various features which include
the following:
Nano Server
Nano is the final product of Microsoft refactoring the center bits of Windows Server to its

one server whereby the employees in this department will have to share the server since they
work in a common field.
The other server will be installed in the workstation located in Boston where it will be
used by the Executive department to send an organized information to the main office in Detroit.
The Executive server will be used of type Datacenter server since it will be used to
organize all data from the other departments and back up data in the cloud server. This server
will be important for business continuity and data communications components.
The accounting and sales department server will be used of type standard server. This
ensures security such that the employees can avoid the common configuration flaws which
normally exposes the systems.
Sever core will be installed in all departments in order to ensure that there are no security
vulnerabilities in the system. It will also reduce the memory and disk usage thus increase in
speed, Thomas (2017).
In the Detroit site, three servers will be installed where the Executive department will
have a server to control all information from all departments. The accounts and sales will also
have a server which will be used to keep a record of the sales in the company and also update on
the accounts record of the company. The Creative and HR department will share one server
which will be used to send the organized data to the executive department.

The other site in Boston will be installed with one server which will control all processes
in the site and organize data which will later be send to the Executive server in Detroit (Robey,
2011).
The server deployment will be automated for easy maintenance of tasks and installation.

Detroit Site

Active Directory
The active directory in the NSI company will be responsible for strengthening security
legislations for each workstation and installing and ensuring that software is up to date. They
authenticate the users and the work stations in the company, Parkinson, Somaraki and Ward
(2016).
In the NSI organization, the clients will be appropriated in a few offices with the end goal
that number of Active Directory Domains will be equivalent to the quantity of divisions in the
organization.

DNS and DHCP
Referring to Keller et al (2012) dynamic Host Configuration Protocol utilizes a scope of

system. DHCP servers are designed with extensions by an overseer to oversee IP addressing in
the system.
