the subject (Friese, 2012). Present report provides an underlying opinion about behavioural
problems in children with NF1. By having qualitative interpretation of the collected information
the Manchester research group is trying to understand the behavioural difficulties in children
with NF1. With an assistance of this, better assistance can be provided to the health

1. REFLECTION ON QUALITATIVE RESEARCH
From the overall study, I have noticed that qualitative research is beneficial to explore the
results. With an assistance of this, any kind of selected topic can be understand in descriptive
manner. Along with this, I have also acknowledged that thematic approach provides a support to
the qualitative research. I have participated in the interview with parents to have discussion on
NF1 and its key aspects. It has helped me in analysing the key aspects in regard to the NF1.
2. ANALYSIS OF QUALITATIVE APPROACH

been considered in the report. Along with this, focused group technique is being adopted for data
collection that helps in effective evaluation of data (Creswell, 2013). In addition to this, it can be
said that thematic approach of data analysis is being employed in order to meet objectives. Focus
group for the current investigation is female aged between 35 who are mother of six year old
children with NF1.

so that key aspects can be evaluated in desired way. It has been noticed that interview with
parents is kind of open discussion on NF1 and its key aspects. It is one of key reason that
researcher has asked participants to start discussion about the topic.
Brief of NF1 and Louise perception
As per the detailed analysis of the provided transcript, it can be interpreted that data
collection process was started with assistance of Louise. In addition to this, it can be stated that
Louise is also suffering of NF1 that creates issues in her daily life. She has also stated that my
doctors has found my generation mutation is affected from NF1. It is continuing with both
children of Louise. Doctors had efforts in respect to cord bloods during the birth of her
children's. At the initial level she has realized that her children's are suffering from NF1. It
clearly indicates that NF1 is a genetic issue that might be continued with children's if parents are
suffering from the same. In the investigation it has been witnessed that Louise is suffering from
Neurofibromotosis type 1 which is also considered as genetic disorder. It is also referred as

might affect the growth of any part in the body.
On the basis of responses taken from Louise, it has been noticed that other symptoms of
NF1 has also been started displaying. As we have diverse methods of diagnosis to overcome the
issue of NF1 the people are used to take treatment through appoint. However, the Louise came
to know about the baby lab from her friend who has also visited the lab. It reflects that there are
number of lab in London who are working for improvement in diagnosis system so that issue of
NF1 can be overcome. In the discussion with Louise has stated that her friend has visited to lab
with her children because she got an autism. As same she is also looking for some great
opportunity that allows her to understand more about the problem. Key motive behind the
searching an opportunity was to analyse the ways that can help her to overcome the issue behind

in regard to NF1. Further, issues are also faced by her because of unavailability of diverse
options in the Manchester health care system.
