INTRODUCTION
Employment skills can be define as transferable skills needed by the person in order to
improve their skill in a well define manner (Chowdhury and Miah 2019). Further it can be
elaborated as the person having good technical skills understanding the environment organisation
can perform effectively. It is an group of essential abilities that are involve the development and
knowledge base, expertises level and mindset which are crucial for success in the modern
workplace. This report is based on NHS UK and its headquater is located in Richmond house
London England. The company was formed in year 1948 on 5 July and provide various services
in health care as well as social care. Beside this it covers about the different responsibilities as
well as performance of the individual within the organisation. Along with this, communication is
important in the organisation and it should to be done in a proper manner which help reducing
conflicts. There must be effective time management which help in improving productivity of the
organisation. At last the report covers about the appropriate strategies which are used for
resolving power.
TASK1
1.1Develop a set of own responsibilities and performance objectives
As the manager of the NHS hospital it is my responsibility to develop and improve my
skills through which individual can perform effectively in pre determine manner. There must be
good interpersonal skill and which allow me to participate effectively as the member of the team
which help in improving the performance of the organization. This help in personal development
which include the communication, creativity and innovation which make person different from
other. Here of responsibilities and performance objective which are explain down below:
Team work: As the manager of the organization it is my prime task to have team unity
for which help the company to perform their objectives effectively. The management of the
organisation is responsible for the developing the understanding the employees and motivate
them to work as team for better outcomes. In the context of NHS, I ensure that to make proper
team in every department because it help in developing the effectiveness and bring out the
quality while offering the services.
Conflict resolutions and mediation: This skills help in reducing the conflict which are
created among the employees within the organisation. In the case of NHS hospital it is crucial for

management to minimise the conflict by the help of communication and understanding the
problem of the individual. Further I make sure that employees must get extra training as well as
mediation sessions which help them to focus on their work and improve the performance in a
well define manner.
Problem solving and decision making: I must use problem solving approach which
help the organization to solve problem in the organisation which help to maximise the growth of
the organisation. For NHS hospital it is essential for me as manager to have problem solving
skills and capable of taking effective decision for expansion and growth.
Performance objective
Monitoring: It is my prime duty as the manager to have proper monitoring method which
help in measuring the actual performance against the agreed and objective of the organisation. I
ensure about the staff performance and make sure that individual is performing as per the
requirement.
Review and feedbacks: It is important to provide feedback to the employees. As it my
duty as the manger to provide the timely review and feedback so that employees can improve
their performance in order to achieve desire goals.
1.2 Evaluate own effectiveness against the define objectives
Evaluating the effectiveness of own skills and traits are quite complex process as it
require to lots of research and self evaluating techniques which are used for determine the
current position for the individual ( Carbon and Rayner 2019). As per my recommendations,
NHS hospital must take proper monitoring and feedback from the patients and make changes as
when require as it help in assisting better services to the customers. Along with this there must be
proper employee engagement programme which help in contributing more in productivity and
help in developing sustainable business model for the organisation.
In order to drive real organisation, it is important to have managers to empower as well as
motivate the employees for performing as per the job roles. Further I have chosen the appraisal
system which help them to identify individual performance in a well define manner. This provide
quite significant tool in enhance the skills and satisfaction level as per the requirement. As per
the evaluation. I have figure out that my skills like communication as well as interpersonal skills
are average and requires more improvement in the particular area.

Along with this, I choose to undergo personality development training for the individual
which help in developing overall skills which improve my working capabilities which ensure
about the quality work. Further this help in improving my relationship with other employees and

for the self effectiveness as they guide person to choose the right path. There are various method
which are used for self evaluation is making a checklist which ensure and track about the
activities and also help in improving the skills which is important for sustainability.

There are various areas on which improvement is required which help me in performing
effectively as per the requirement. Here are some skills on which improvement is requires which
are explain down below:
Communication: This is consider as the important factor which is used for interacting
with the people who are working in the organisation. There are various methods through which it
can be improved such as taking communication classes. It is essential for the me to improve the
communication as it reduce the grievances as well as conflict. It is important to have face to face
conversations which help in communicating with sincerity and authenticity.
Time management: It is consider as the important aspect in any employees to achieve
the desire goals and objectives. Here I have to make list and schedule the time table and perform
activities as per the pre assigned target. Hence it help in improving the decision making abilities
which help person to make quality decision within the limited time frame. Through effective
time management it eliminate the pressure which comes from the time mismanagement.
Leadership: This is the skills which is require for every organisation to motivate
employees for achieving the organisational goals. Along with this I need to work upon various
quality such as taking initiative and understanding the problems of the individual which help me
in developing my leadership skills in a well define manner.
1.4 How motivational techniques can be used to improve quality performance
Motivation techniques are used to drive the individual to work together in order to
achieve the desire goal and objectives. Many organisation use this theory because it help in
encourage individual for achieving the target and leads towards the using proper uses of
resources in a well define manner. They comes with the intrinsic and extrinsic factor which
facilitates organisation to determine the personality of the employees. In the context of NHS

effectively in their work as it help them work together and help in motivating to achieve the
target successfully. Here are some motivational techniques which are used for NHS are been
specified as under:
Theory X: In this kind of theory explain the individual personality which explain that
employees are demotivated and tries to escape the roles and responsibilities. So in this case the
NHS hospital management must take effective measure such as providing monetary benefits
which help them to motivate towards working and achieving the target.
Theory Y: In this kind of motivation theory the employees perform their work
effectively. This type of employees are not require with the threat or coercion towards work
which help company to perform task effectively. Hence for NHS manager must ensure that they
hire motivated type of people which reduce the money and effort for the organisation.

Problems are the major part of the business organisation which reduce the efficiencies
and working performance of the individual (Griffin and Coelhoso 2019). If the issues are not
solve at the early stage it may leads towards the complex and critical situation after the time
period. In the context of NHS hospital there were various problems which were encountered
during my tenure working with the hospital. Here are some problems which are discussed down
below:
The employees of NHS were unsatisfied by the due to the working hours as there were
many rotational shifts which become hectic for the employees to perform activities
effectively.
It has been identified that there were lack of communication and as well leadership
approach which hamper the organisation growth as well as profit.
Solution for the problems:
For the solution for the above statement related to the issue , I suggest them to take
proper feedbacks and conduct training and personality development session which help to

group of people. Every communication involves sender and receiver which include emotions,
culture situation. In the context of NHS hospital, the management must make sure about the
structure as well as communication effectively. Communication can be practised in a number of
ways which have further been stated as under:
Verbal communication: The verbal communication include face to face where both the
parties communicate orally. This is the type of communication where manages usually give
instruction to the employees regarding their job roles and individual performance. This kind of

well as productivity. This kind of strategies are used for gain success in a well define manner.

are explained down below:
Have a dynamic task list: It is important for every organisation to have note down the
task and activities and prepare a list of the daily activities. In the case of NHS hospital
management must ensure about keeping all the records of employees daily activities and make

important as hospital operates day and night. To solve the problems of working hours the
management can implement 5 day working system and break system during the work. This
method can reduce the stress from the staff effectively.
Promote team building: Team building can be promoted by the effective leadership.
Hence it become important for the organization like NHS hospital to have great leaders and
managers to build effective team for growth and expansion.
4.2 Developing appropriate and effective strategies for resolving issues
Working hours has been a important issue in the organization and it must be solved to
improve the capabilities and individual in order to provide better services to their patients. Here
are some strategies which can solve the time related issue.
