This case study evaluates the challenges faced by nurses in NHS surgical wards during the COVID-19 pandemic. Secondary data is gathered from books, articles, and journals published between 2015 and 2022 to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the information. The research highlights the critical role of leadership in nursing and its impact on health and social care, emphasizing the importance of reflection in improving nurses' competencies. The study concludes that effective leadership is crucial for managing operations and supporting nurses' well-being during crises.

INTRODUCTION
• Nursing management is described as an individual's ability to
inspire, motivate, and drive others. This is regarded as a crucial
aspect of the nurse, and many settings as well as discipline must
be maintained when beginning the job function. In order to
manage the many services supplied to patients, nurses must
build dedication as well as collaboration (Relji, Pajnkihar, and
Fekonja, 2019).

in surgical ward.

value of reflection is effectively handled and promoted through the use of
various methodologies and technologies.

Research strategy
 The research strategy is the plan for performing a particular
research study. Different types of research strategies include action
oriented research, case study, quantitative survey, systematic
literature review, qualitative interview etc. Out of these main
forms and types of the research strategy use of the literature
review would be made within current project to analysis and
evaluation of pre-existing set of data that ensures better creation of
knowledge to meet the set objectives.

Collection of data
 Data collection is defined as the method through which researcher can
gather data. There are two ways through which data can be gathered.
These including primary method and secondary method out of which use
of only secondary source of data has been made within current project.
The secondary data is gathered through using books, articles and journals
published previously.

 Only those article and journals would be selected for current project that
are having proper copyrights and name of author as well as publication
date to ensure the authenticity and reliability of facts. Further, selection of
articles written between 2015-2022 would only be selected to mitigate the
risk of obsolete or out dated data.
