Operational issue identified here is the shortages of vaccines and less supply to the
patients who are not vaccinated. This issue is due to the more demand in a bulk and less
production on an instant basis. There was not a systematic supply from the initial point to the end
point that is the production to the customers (Cecula, Behan and Maruthappu, 2020).
Causes of problem
Covid 19 pandemic is the major cause because it has spreaded all over world and
population is vast and each and everyone needs to get vaccinated in order to free form this
deadliest disease. That is why shortages of vaccines occurred (Bryce, Ring, Ashby and
Wardman, 2020).
Solution to the problem
Solutions can be such that the NHS must follow the operations management techniques
which can resolve the operational issue faced by the company. Supply chain management is one
of the operational technique followed by the firm so that systematic supply of the vaccines can
be reached on time to the right patients who are in the emergency (Sanchez-Graells, 2020).
Topic 2: Restaurants facing problem in customer products shortages due to

Overview of operational issue
Operational issue identified here is the shortage of raw materials from the suppliers
which has resulted in the final consumer shortage products. This has led to the not fulfilling of
the demands because of the low supply of food products to the customers. This is the major
operational issue because it also affects the economy of the nation (Lai, Abidin, Hasni and Ishak,
2020).
Causes of problem
Brexit is the major cause of this problem of shortages of consumer products. This is
because Brexit separated the nations which has also separated the people. This is loss of good
suppliers chain who were working for the restaurant. That is why Brexit is considered as the
major cause of it (Elshaer, 2021).

Solution to the problem
Solutions can be such that the restaurant must follow the operations management
techniques which can resolve the operational issue faced by the company. Supply chain
management can help the restaurant industry from strategic employing of the suppliers to the
customer acquisition program towards the brand can assist the restaurant in dealing with this
operational issue (Rogerson, 2021).
