INTRODUCTION
Today the way of operation of business has gone through major change due to use of
digital technology in the business. In order to gain competitive advantage from the rival
company the digital products such as computers, servers, websites etc are being used by the
companies (Dinh and Wang, 2013.). The organization make use of digital technologies such as
cloud computing, internet of things, artificial intelligence, social media sites etc in order to
expand and grow their business on a bigger platform. The best digital technology is preferred by
the companies that will be useful for their business.
Nisa is a small-scale organization in UK. This is a retail company that offers fresh food
items for the customers. The main goals of this company is expand its business and to generate
more satisfaction among customers through its products and services. In this report a new
technology that is cloud-computing will be implemented in the company Nisa. And based on the
implementation of this new technology the cost, time will be mentioned that will be needed in
implementation of cloud-computing.
P1 :Background , Aims, Objective, Rationale of project
Background – Cloud-computing is a network of remote servers that are hosted on the Internet in
order to manage, store and process data. Over a network the services are provided by a collection
of remote servers. The world economy is being improved tremendously due to use of cloud-
computing. With the implementation of cloud computing in the business the companies can
reduce their cost of IT and other additional costs. By making use of cloud-computing in the
company Nisa the company will be able to provide better product and services to its customers at
a lower cost (Dodgson and George, 2015). A lot of time of the company will also be saved as
they do not have to search fro eh records of customers and employees all the records will be
easily available on the cloud. So, in a way it will save the time of the company. However on the
other side the workload of the employees will also be less due to implementation of cloud-
computing as all the data and information will be easily maintained by the cloud. They do not
have to worry about the data and in case of any fire or theft also the data will be safely secured in
cloud. The various advantages to the company is being provided by the cloud computing and
also with this the better experience to the customers will also be given as they will think all the
information about each customers is being kept securely by the company.

Rational – As more and more businesses are making use of digital technology in the business so
it is essential for the company Nisa to implement this new technology that is cloud-computing
(Fernando, Loke and Rahayu, 2013). With the use of this technology the various benefit will be
there in this company. At a timely manner all the information will be available they do not have
to search for a specific record of data and information. All the data will be there on the cloud.
Also, the cost of implementation of this technology is also low. Also, the employee's engagement
in their work will also increase as flexibly will be given to them. They can access the information
or data from anywhere and at anytime so this will increase their involvement in their work.
P2: Cost , Scope, time, quality, communication, risk and resources
Cost of implementation of cloud-computing – The three biggest centres of cost that are related to
the cloud are the network, compute and storage.
Network – When setting up the cost the expense to maintain the network is provided by the
cloud providers. The cost is being calculated by doing calculation for network hardware, network
infrastructure maintenance and labour. In this cost these three above mention elements are
included(Han, Cline and Golparvar-Fard, 2015)
Compute – The cost of the CPU is calculated by most of the providers by determining the
respective cost of per GB of virtual RAM of the company. In this mainly the hardware operation
and hardware acquisition are included.

Storage – The cloud-provider mainly calculate the cost to operate in the storage hardware and
also for the storage need the new hardware is also acquired.

Scope- The implementation of cloud-computing in the company Nisa will be beneficial for the
company as it will motivate more employees in their work and will develop more customer
satisfaction as all the record and information about them will be maintained by the company in
the effective way. The more interaction with the customers that are visiting this store will be
there with the implementation of cloud-computing. To them a smooth experience of shopping
will be given. With the help of loud the real time status information, streamlines inventors, track
deliverables etc can be captured (Cloud computing , 2017.). The low cost development costs are
required in the implementation of cloud-storage. The estimated completion time for this project
is till June 2018 The resources that are allocated for this project will be used and at regular time
interval meetings will be held in the company Nisa in order to find out the progress of this
project.
Time – The time that is being estimated for the completion for this project is till june end 2018
during this time period all the activities and resources that will be required for the
implementation for this project will be allocated. The various activities that is planning,

Quality – In order to make this project successful a high quality project need to be delivered. A
project is said to be of high-quality when it fulfils all the expectations of the customers. Keeping
in mind the needs of the customers a project need to be planned and executed. The three key
quality management concepts need to be kept in the mind while delivering a high quality project.
They are as follows-:
Customer -satisfaction – In the project an important role is being played by the customer. The
project quality is considered as good if the customer is highly-satisfied. However on the other
side the project is considered as poor if the customer satisfaction is low. The customer-
satisfaction will be there in the project if all the requirement of the customers are fulfilled
regarding the project (Miller and Loorbach, 2014). In order to deliver this project of high-quality
the attempts need to be made by the company so that satisfaction of customers will be more.
Prevention over inspection – The money that is spent on the project to neglect failures and also
the money that is spent on the project before and after due to failures are included in the cost of
quality. In comparison, with cost of correcting the mistakes the cost of preventing the mistakes is
usually less.
Continuous improvement – In order to enhance the quality of the products, services this concept
that is continuous improvement can be used. These improvements can be small, incremental
changes. The major objective is to avoid the repetition of the similar issues in other projects.

Communication – During the planning phase of their project a high-level of communication
management plan need to be developed. By making use of this communication plan the various
things regarding the project can be discussed with stakeholders team members. The
communication role, goals, objectives etc will be included in this plan.

Resources – In order to meet the requirements of the data centre the cloud management providers
must integrate with traditional IT system. The basic requirement of the cloud computing is the
computers, static IP, memory, Linux OS and a hard disk. As per the needs of the company the
hard disk can be used. Also in order to make use of cloud computing the company need to have a
good Internet connection as the only need of cloud-computing is internet access. Also, the
training to the employees also need to be given regarding the use of this new technology.
Risk – In the project if any uncertain events that take place then it is termed as risk. If in the
project if the risk will take place then the company will not able to achieve the objectives that is
set for the project. The risk can be identified and assessed with the help of risk management.
Based on the risk management strategies can be made by the companies so to reduce the impact
of any risks on the project (Polášek, Bureš and Šimon, 2015.).
Types of risk that can take place in this project are as follows-:
Cost risks – This type of risk can take place in the project due to poor estimation of cost. The
management team need to devote sufficient time in order to estimate the current budget for the
project
Schedule risk – This type of risks can take place in the project when the project is not completed
on the estimated time and it takes longer time to complete.

Inexperience among staff-This risk will occur when the staff are not familiar with the use of
technology. It can be overcome by providing the appropriate training to the staff with the use of
new technology.

Gantt chart – With the help of the Gantt chart the schedule of project can be represented. The
millstones, timelines, start and finish date of project etc can be presented with the help of Gantt

P4: Conducting Research
In this section the research will be done on the implementation of cloud-computing in
Nisa. Regarding its implementation in the company the insight understanding will be developed.
