INTRODUCTION
Nursing is referred to be a professional context of serving the community people for their
well being. It is thereby referred to be a very considerate measure that requires the health care
practitioners to provide an intensive care to the individuals, their respective family members and
other community members in need of any health related services (Standards to support learning
and assessment in practice, 2008). The below essay plan has reflected a correspondent outlook
of nursing based upon three leading parts with a foremost section that has demonstrated the
capability of the applied NMC Code of Conduct. I am going to write a small scenario in this essay to
demonstrate the ability to apply the NMC Code of Conduct. It is with yet another crucial part that has
referred to examined the key legal, ethical and evidential framework that are being used within
the nursing setting of UK (Care Planning A Good Practice Guide, 2008). Also, it has lastly
analysed the role of nurses in UK to assess, plan, implement and evaluate an evidence based care
for the patients. After which, the entire plan has finally concluded the overall facts and findings
of this essay.
1) Demonstrating the ability to apply the NMC Code of Conduct (2015)
This being the foremost section of this essay plan has referred to present the potency for
applying the NMC Code of Conduct (2015).I had a patient in my first placement. She had
pressure ulcer on her sacrum. I always made sure that patient was turned two hourly because
patient was bedbound and the nursing care plan was effective. Also, I communicated with patient
clearly and I worked as a team with my colleagues and recorded SSKIN Care bundle according
to NMC Code NO.10. The ability to apply it results in fortifying the professionalism of the
registered nurses by structuring itself in 4 leading themes namely prioritising people, practising
in an effective manner, preserving the culture of safety by lastly promoting the sense of trust and
professionalism (The Code, 2015).
2) Examining the key legal, ethical and evidence frameworks used within nursing in UK
This section has referred to scrutinize the lawful framework of nursing in UK by together
considering the ethical approaches of the professionals with support of an evidential framework.
It is mainly in context to the legalised setting of a health care system that incorporates with
distinct judicial clauses such as Nursing and Midwifery Order 2001 and Health Act 1999, etc. In
my patients scenario I would like to mention the legal ,ethical and evidence framework used

within nursing in UK (The Code for nurses and midwives, 2016). The nurse who worked with me
on that day ,she told me to prepare intravenous medication for my patient. As a student nurse I
know I cannot give I.V. Still I checked the patients drug chart. The doctor prescribed oral
medication. But the nurse didn’t checked properly. So I told the nurse about my findings in that
drug chart. If I didn’t checked on that day the other nurse will give intravenous medication
instead of oral medication and it will develop to legal issues. Also, the nurses are together
required to undertake ethical practices for serving the patients by involving them in the clinical
practices to provide a gratifying experience to both the patients and the care providers.
3) Analysing the role of the Nurse in the UK in the assessment, planning, implementation and
evaluation of evidence based care
This is the endmost section of this essay that is intending to evaluate the role of nurses
practising in UK to contribute into the process of assessing a disease, designing a care plan and
implementing the same followed by its valuation (Our legal framework, 2017). According to my
patients case I realised my role and I reported immediately and effectively when other nurse did
error. Also I continued the care plan for pressure ulcer because the implementation was very
effective and useful. For which, this part will separately define in my summative essay the role
of the nurses in all these practises by lastly analysing them all on the basis of the contribution
given by me in these specified areas.
CONCLUSION
This part will summarise the above obtained findings based upon the concentrated
sections of NMC Code of Conduct (2015) in terms of its demonstrated quality for applying it
onto a defined area. Another summarisation will be based upon the the examination of the
principal legal, ethical and evidence frameworks used within nursing in UK by lastly analysing
the role of nurses in UK to take part in the process of assessment, planning, implementation and
evaluation of an evidence based care.
