In this mentioned case study David is suffering from acute pain in his vertebrae. With the help of
primary analysis, it can be said that the reason behind the pain is due to some previous injuries
(Chen et al., 2016). Because of the injuries, some tissues around the vertebrae getting damaged
(Chen et al., 2016). In that case, the sensory receptors in that area getting damaged and the area

swelled and the chemicals cannot work properly to overcome this kind of situation. In that case, the
doctors advised him to intake analgesic drugs which can reduce the pain but that are the only
temporary system. These kinds of drugs have various side effects as well. Like if a person takes
these drugs on a regular basis for a long period of time his digestive system get damaged
accordingly (Da Costa et al., 2017). He will suffer with pancreatic disorders, constipations and
sometimes ulcer also. The cardiac, renal and hepatic functions also get affected by the use of these
analgesic medicines. Thus in his case, he must go through a proper treatment which will help him
to get rid of his pain permanently.
