Steph Croft Simon launched Nom Popcorn in 2015 and it was organic popcorn in the UK. As
per the case study of Croft-Simon’s activities and achievements, the essay will investigate the
concept and differences of entrepreneurship and management successfully. The
characteristics required of an entrepreneur will be covered in the essay and will consider the
various aspects associated with establishing the entrepreneurial venture in the market of UK.
Croft Simon’s personality related to being an entrepreneur is also investigated in order to
establish his credentials as an entrepreneur supervising the operational procedures related to
the Company named Nom Popcorn. The Big-5 Model is used to establish the credentials of

As an entrepreneur, he could take the risk and take up the initiative to set up a small business.

individual who plays the crucial role of an employee within the Company. According to
McDonald, M. and Wilson, H., (2016), the job role of an entrepreneur is to look after and get
involved into framing the strategies and setting up of the targets in order to make the
Company a huge name in the market. The manager on the other hand supervises all the
operations going on inside the organisation and assesses the performance of the Company in
the market.
The entrepreneurs include thinking out of the box in order to ensure that the tasks and jobs
are accomplished in a perfect manner. This provides assurance to the small business ventures
to develop their base in the market of the country of UK. According to Tidd and Bessant
(2018), the entrepreneurs take calculated risks unlike the managers who do not have to take
