This research article presents a systematic overview of non-pharmacological interventions to prevent falls in older people, drawing from the SENATOR Project. The study, published in PLOS ONE, examined 59 systematic reviews and meta-analyses, classifying interventions according to the ProFaNE taxonomy. The findings highlight the effectiveness of exercise and multifactorial interventions, particularly those combining balance and strength training, in reducing falls. The overview synthesized evidence from various settings, including the community, care facilities, and hospitals, to support evidence-based clinical decision-making. The research emphasizes the importance of quality assessment using AMSTAR scores and provides a comprehensive perspective for healthcare workers seeking to improve fall prevention strategies. The search included databases like PubMed, Cochrane, EMBASE, and others from 2009 to 2015. The study also includes the methodology, results, and discussion with the limitations of the research.
