Hello everyone, today I’m going to talk about Norway which is the most beautiful country for
living with great mountains and untouched nature. Norway has more than 240,000 islands.
Norway includes a law that is known as men’s right in which residents are allowed to saunter
through the land. People's acceptance and tolerance of other nations and new cultures are not
common in many other countries. In 2019, the United Nations’ annual Human Development
Report has included that Norway is the best place to live in the world. Also, in the United
Nations’ World Happiness Report of 2019, the country was on the third number. Today I will
cover the geography, culture, food, values, sanctions, and norms of Norway.
If I talk about values of Norwegian, which are based egalitarianism. In values, their priorities are
humility, respect, equality, and simplicity. In Norway, people love and respect each other as they
are and not because they own some property or professional achievements. The culture of the
community is based on democratic principles of interdependence and respect. The people of
Norwegian are proud of their sincerity and honesty with others. The poet Aksel Snademose has
put the words in the law of Jante that Norwegian culture includes humility as a key element. The
law teaches people to be humble and shows a sense of equality because some of its creeds
stipulate that people should not think that they are more special, smarter or better than others.
With the help of Jante law, oneness in people was promoted and discouraged the people from
showing financial achievements. In Norway, people are motivated to contribute to the
community by taking the park in community work without any money. The communal works of
people are shown through the (dugnad) which helped in voluntary contributing to achieve the
task mutually of the community.
