INTRODUCTION
Portfolio is that kind of document that has been prepared for making an analysis of
individual that has to be done. In this cash, stock, bonds, commodities and cash equivalent. In
this people have been generally believing all kinds of financial documents if being prepare by
them (Peltier and et. al. 2020 ). This helps in preparing a document tat can be used by an person
for making sure that all the person. Also this has been making various kinds of things to be
covered within them. Further in this file various things is to be covered that is related to
portfolio, note making, reliable and non reliable source. Also examples has to be covered.
MAIN BODY
What is note taking and why is it important with examples ?
Note taking is defined as the practice in which recording of information is associated
using varied sources and platforms. With the help of note taking a writer may note down essence
of some particular information which could be helpful for them in order to remember the same
for longer duration. Notes are drawn from those sources which are having short term life and and
associated with oral meeting so in order to keep those discussion in mind individual is required
to note it down.
Reliable and non reliable source
Reliable published sources are included with significant lower views in which various
sources are being covered at the same time. Reliable sources are having proper source of their
citation which proves their authenticity and surety over reliability. The verification of these
sources are deliberately adhered to the major aspect of analysing sources of data in such a way
that it could lead in generation of authenticity. For reliable data aspects are fixed as they are
generated from articles, lists, sections of articles and many more (Tainter, F and et. al., 2020)).
Unreliable sources are not true for all time and they are not accurate and doesn't provides
unto date information. By using unreliable data academic writing may lead to be converted into
discrediting and inappropriate. So this is essential for a writer that they use data which are
gathered through reliable sources in order to evaluate results in better way.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is defined as presenting idea of some other person in similar way and giving it
own name without taking their permission to use that data for some purpose. This can be defined
as using research of some another person without acknowledging their work. Plagiarism can be
due to many reasons such as carelessness or unwillingness (Çelikbilek and Tüysüz, 2016 ). There
are various types of plagiarisms which are having serious implications over academic honesty.
There are some common types of plagiarism which are elaborated as under:
Direct Plagiarism
Direct plagiarism can be defined as copying some one else's work in word-for-word
manner without quoting their name and giving them credit for the same. This is a type of
deliberate plagiarism which is highly unethical in nature and leads to academic dishonesty and
taking actions against breaching academic disciplines.
Self Plagiarism
Self plagiarism appears when a student mixes their own research with their previous part
of research without taking permission from their lecturer in order to use the same for further
work. For example a student is using research of their school in their college course (Ohm, 2020)
(Shahbazi, Hassani and Hosseini, 2019). This is type of indirect plagiarism in which student is
not taking permission from both of the lecturers.
Mosaic Plagiarism
Mosaic plagiarism is a situation where a student is borrowing phrases from sources and
do not quote the sources in their research paper. This type of plagiarism takes place when an
individual wants to keep the same meaning of their work but modifies them by using synonyms
and keeping the original structure as well. This is also called Patch writing in which sentences
are paraphrased but still this leads to unethical academic writing and punishment as well.
Accidental Plagiarism
Accidental plagiarism is occurring when an individual tries to avoid citing sources or
cites the same in wrong manner. This is a type of unintentional plagiarism in which an individual
quotes similar words and sentences without sorting the same. Students are required to cite their
sources in proper manner so as to avoid academic misleading and wrongful acts as well. When a
student is not having ample knowledge of application of sources that doesn't means that they are

not responsible to deal with plagiarism. All types of plagiarism are having similar implications in
which individuals are required to face the same (Tarchi, 2020).
Reference and paraphrasing
References are defined as linkage of sources from which the data is being originated.
This is classified as linkage to the major object in such a way that second object can be linked in
direct manner (Wu, Xu and Zhang, 2018.). The second object is called as referent for the primal
object and this name is a symbolic representation of references. Referent can be any object such
as an event, any activity, any abstract etc. References are existed in many forms such as this can
be inculcated from any though, sensory imagination or visual objects . In cryptography the
technology is used in order to hide the reference of their originality so as to secure information in
better way. References may help an individual to deal with providing accurate meaning to their
written information.
Presentation skills
Importance of Presentation Skills
With the help of effective presentation skills an an individual may communicate to other
in better way which helps in developing morale and confidence for public speaking. By having
prominent communication skills an individual may inhale higher growth opportunities for their
career and grooms their own personality in positive manner (Lukasiewicz and et. al.2020)
. Good presentation skills assists an individual to modify their message as according inclination
of their audience which enhances effectiveness of the speech and intensifies probability of
speech succession.
CONCLUSION
From the above report this can be defined as for an individual this is required that they
learn various aspect during their academic course such as citation, using reliable source,
references and many more. These skills are helpful for an individual to refine their career and
enhance their academic learning as well. Besides this for an individual this is imperative that
they enhance their presentation skills so as to involve their audience in effective way.
