According to Harold Kerzner (2017), there are three main classifications of projects
which include construction projects, Manufacturing projects and management projects.
Construction projects are those projects which are associated with industrial projects.
Construction projects bring about unique dangers and issues of association. They regularly
require huge capital speculation, and they merit (however don't generally get) thorough
administration of the progress, Finances, and quality. Manufacturing projects on the other hand
expect to deliver a bit of equipment or apparatus, aircraft, ship, motor vehicle or some other
thing of extraordinarily planned equipment. Finally, management projects are those projects an
organization that requires unique expertise to be accomplished.

Nova Western projects can be classified under the management projects as it revolves
around software implementation process. Nova Western projects in this context is the process of
applying skills, technique, knowledge and tools to the activities of a project with the aim of
accomplishing the initially set objectives of a project (Wysocki, 2011). Software project
management being a process, it means that there is a set procedure that needs to be followed for
successful projects. Goals of projects are guidelines that ensure that the project follows a
particular direction and in the case of any deviation from what is set, it is detected. Some
principles are applied in project management aiming at the proper integration of the various
components of the project for quality output of a project. Deterministic time estimates and
Budget control are some of the principles that are a focal point in project management.

Form the two-analysis provided, it is evident that both project companies are suitable for
this project but Janus fits best for this project. Running time estimates as a principle in project
management aim at addressing the chronological flow of activities as well as the returns of every
project. All the activities in the project are associated with time and resource consumption. Time
allocation of a project activity is success factor of the project. Project managers must be in a
position to identify the various activities and the time they are likely to take for completion
purposes. Deterministic time estimates do not only focus on the time estimates of a given project
activity but also gets into details to consider the various factors that may affect time allocated for
the event. In deterministic time estimation, the worst-case scenarios of activity are put into
consideration and their effects of time analyzed. Time of a project activity should ensure that all
the possible failures due to time limits are addressed before the project commences. With the
project management being in control of the time estimated, it is an indication that projects delay
chances are dealt with even before the projects commences. The requirements of a project
activity mostly dictate the amount of time that should be allocated to it. Proper time management
ensures timely delivery of the project and quality output.
Budget issues in a project is an element of resource allocation and benefits for the whole
project which Janus seem to be the best due to its NPV. Every activity in a project should be
allocated adequate resources that will enable the running of the project from the beginning to the
end and as a result give the best returns. Budget control as a principle if project management
process is aimed at ensuring that proper use of the resource’s allocation has been done in the
most reasonable way. After resource allocation has been done in a project, it's the role of the
project management to ensure that the resources allocated to a project are used in the most
profitable manner. Resource utilization in the course of a project goals accomplishment process

determines whether they will meet its requirements to the final stage of the project activity.
Budget controls involve time after time monitoring and reviewing on the project resource
consumption trend to ensure that there is no deviation from the project’s expectations. Budget
control principle in project management have impacts to projects in that it ensures that the
resources allocated to a particular project activity are not underestimated or overestimated.
Underestimation may lead to failure of a project or a delay while overestimation may lead to
waste of resources.
