How does Novel Paths’ program impact family dynamics to help loved ones’ addictive
behaviors?
The programs of the Novel Path have always been very useful and effective for the
people within the families of the society. Most of the people in this young society are affected by
the addiction towards drugs and alcohol. The support mechanisms are very crucial in this
scenario since the organization will look to provide the families with all sorts of assistance. It has
been discovered that the families will play the biggest role in providing the members support and
faith so they can overcome all these challenges (McCollum & Trepper, 2014). The root cause of
the issue has been identified by the Novel Path. They believe it is the primary ignorance and
negligence of the families that this kind of situation has come up. The family therapy is
definitely one of those things that should be used in this process to utilize the family dynamics.
The elderly family members with their affectionate and sympathetic approach can put a stop to
this practice (Kumpfer, 2014).
The negligence of the family members might have caused the youth to live independently
and live a clueless life with all types of addictions. The needs of the young people should be met
by the family members and it should be ensured that these young people will have to be treated
with the better facilities (McCollum & Trepper, 2014). The sympathetic approach of the family
dynamics will make people understand they are in serious need of the family care. The healthy
behaviors of the support mechanisms from the family would lead him to behave better and
support the social systems. There must be some factors that he has been deprived of. These

the well being of their affected member. As the condition worsens, the affected members will
become more desperate in their behaviors. Therefore, some of these families have promised to
show full support to the affected persons with sympathetic approach so they can come round and
get back to their normal lives.
The government in the country has provided sufficient funds so this issue can be
resolved. The help of the family dynamics will indeed cater to the betterment of the situation.
The substance use challenges can be solved sometimes by going through major surgeries or
rehabilitation programs. In the previous times, such rehabilitation programs have helped many
people to come round. The help of the family therapists is also something to praise about. The
family therapists will provide more time to help the addicted person to be cured (Potter-Efron &
Potter-Efron, 2016). In these circumstances, the concerned person will need to undergo treatment
facilities and stay away from any kind of negative agitation that might disrupt the entire process.
The peers in the families should take part in this program since the family is consisted of the
elected and extended members.
The maximum variation case study or sampling method has been used to analyze the
above research question. There have been several differences of opinions among the family
members. Some of these families have completely turned their back on the affected persons
showing them as the disgrace to the families. On the contrary, some families have agreed to help
the affected persons and strengthen their minds through the rehabilitation program. It is also

found that around 63% families have agreed to support them in rehabilitation. Rest of them are
not interested to provide them support.
The paper can be concluded by saying it has provided much insight into the role of the
family dynamics and how it can assist the drug and alcohol addicts to get better. All the negative
vibes from the minds of these addicted people should be removed and they should be allowed to
choose their way of life.
