INTRODUCTION
Nurses play an essential role in society by promoting the health education to the people
and patient, participating in rehabilitation and providing care and support. Nurses as a caregiver
which can help in identifying the patient needs, prevent illness and treat health condition. The
primary role of nurses is to deliver the bets quality care to the patient and ensure that every
patient receive the direct and proper care they need. Inter-professional collaboration in healthcare
is team of healthcare professional which includes medical officer(MO), unit manager(UM),
physiotherapist and occupational therapist(OT). Inter-professional team helps in preventing the
medical errors, improves the patient health and deliver better patient outcomes. Effective
communication and healthy relationship between patient and healthcare professional is important
(Reeder, & Morris, (2018)). This essay includes therapeutic communication between nurses and
patient which can contribute to deliver the best quality care and how the team use inter-
professional team work in delivering the patient care.
MAIN BODY
The main role of nurses is to make strong relationship with the patient because it can
helps in improving their health condition and nurses can identify the main cause of the diseases.
Nursing staff ensure about the medical treatment is the delivery of care is appropriate and
effective. Nursing staff plays an vital role in improving the patient care. According to the
scenario, patient having urinary tract infection due to which they are facing speech difficulties
and facing more problem in balancing. Mindful therapeutic communication is more beneficial
for the patient because it can improves the communication between patient and healthcare
professionals which can helps in enhancing the patient knowledge. Nursing and other healthcare
provider monitor the patient on the daily basis this is can helps in analysing the improvement
area of the patient and nurses provide the relevant information to the patient and their family
members (Kerr & et. al., (2020)) . The nurses should encourages the patient to drink more
amount of water and fluids which can promotes the renal blood flow which can helps in
removing the bacteria from the urinary tract. The main role of nurses is to pay more attention on
the patient health outcomes and also give positive information to Ellen because they are facing
speech difficulties and balancing the verbal communication. Nurse observes that patient and their
family members are distressed about the rehabilitation process then nurses is responsible to

motivate them and provide a positive environment by which patient can manage and control their
own condition. The main motive of the nursing staff is to promote the communication skills of
the Ellen because they are facing speech difficulties and unable to express their feelings and
emotion with the nurses and their family members.
The mindful therapeutic communication is essential for nurses as well as patient because
it can helps in motivating the patient and providing the right information about the health
condition. Patient admitting in rehabilitation facility in which nurses monitor the improvement
progress of the patient (Brown, Agronin & Stein, (2020)). IPT helps in monitor and analysing
the patient health outcomes and providing best quality care to the patient. Before admitting the
Ellen into the rehabilitation facility nurses developed the care plan with the help of therapeutic
communication between the nurses and patient. Nursing staff and other care provider ensure
about the Ellen feel relaxed and comfortable while communicating with the nurses. which is
provided by the healthcare facilities that how much patient is satisfied by the treatment. In the
respectful way nurses staff behave and consult with the patient to analyses the need of the Ellen.
The nursing staff provides the well satisfaction while the patient is in emotional and pain
condition therapeutic communication ion healthcare helps in relaxing the patient. The nursing
staff should be more focused in making the healthier communication with the patient and their
family members (Gormley & Light (2019)). Effective therapeutic communication may helps in
analysing the patient causes and conditions. Therapeutic communication is the process in which
healthcare professional uses specific techniques to help patient and provides better understanding
of the diseases and their treatment. The most beneficial advantage of using therapeutic
communication is to help patient to get throughout the emotional and psychological stress. It is
an invaluable approach to patient interaction and make feel comfortable to the patient by
providing the positive environment to the patient.
Inter-professional team is a collaborative approach in healthcare which can helps in
preventing from the medicine error, improves patient health and deliver better patient outcomes.
It can helps medical institutes to reduce their cost and increases the patient satisfaction. Inter-
professional team includes other healthcare professional which includes medical officer, nurse
unit manager, physiotherapist and occupational therapist. These all members helps in developing
the care plan of rehabilitation of patient having speech difficulties and facing weakness and
patient admitted into rehabilitation facility in which IPT team members focused on delivering

the best quality care to the patient. Nurse unit manager consult with nurses about the patient
condition. Nurse monitor the patient improvement area to the nurse unit manger and give more
care and medicines as per the doctor prescribed. After sharing the health outcomes of the patient
IPT team focused on providing the best recommendations of the patient. IPT team inform to
patient family member about their improvement and give all the information about the
rehabilitation care plan of patient (Huang, Siyambalapitiya & Cornwell, (2019)). The four weeks
of rehabilitation process patient is under supervision of the nurse and nurses daily assist and
monitor the situation. This is most important because nurses and IPT team is more responsible to
take care of the patient and deliver the high quality care to the patient. The IPT team focused on
the patient safety by analysing the medicines errors and ensure about the satisfaction of the
patient with the medical treatment. The reason of providing the best quality care and
involvement of IPT team is to delivering the high quality care to the patient so that they can
overcome with the diseases and also feel safe and comfortable (Zerden & et. al., (2019)).
Medical officers and other nursing staff pay more attention towards the patient health
outcomes and also monitor the improvement area by which patient get relaxed and less stress.
Effective team work is the way of reducing the cost of hospital expensive and improving the
patient health outcomes. Nurses provide the right information to the patient about the medication
process and make the strong relationship with the patient because it can helps in communicating
with the patient and reduce the emotional and physical stress of the patient. It can improves the
patient safety and health and encourages innovation in patient y which they can feel for
comfortable with the rehabilitation process, feel less stress and involve in their self medical
treatment. After rehabilitation process Ellen back to their previous condition and improves their
communication skills after adopting the rehabilitation care plan (Rönnerhag & et. al., (2019)).
Therapeutic communication is most beneficial for the patient because it can helps in improving
and balancing the communication skills of the Ellen.

From the above discussion, it is concluded that nurses play an important role in providing
the best quality care to the patient. Nurses are the care provider which can promote the health
education and prevent from illness to the patient. The nurses and healthcare professional team are
more focused on the analysing the patient needs and requirements according to their diseases.

The inter-professional team have in developing the care plan of patient and giving more
advanced medical treatment with various techniques which includes therapeutic communication
and monitoring process. Therapeutic communication is more beneficial for the patient as well as
nursing staff because it can make a strong relationship between nurses and patient by which
nurses and throughout the emotion and psychological stress of patient and feel more comfortable.
This is most important because nurses are more responsible to enhance the skills and knowledge
of the patient and deliver the best quality care to the patient.
