AI Summary
This presentation delves into the endocrine system and its connection to diabetes, particularly focusing on type 1 diabetes. It explains how the endocrine system's glands secrete hormones to regulate various bodily functions, including blood glucose levels, metabolism, growth, and sexual characteristics. The presentation highlights the roles of insulin and glucagon in maintaining blood glucose balance and how imbalances can lead to diabetes. Type 1 diabetes, where the body doesn't produce enough insulin, and type 2 diabetes, where the body doesn't respond properly to insulin, are discussed. The presentation emphasizes the importance of lifestyle factors like exercise and diet in managing diabetes and maintaining overall endocrine system health. Endocrine System and disease named diabetes

Abstract
Endocrine system contains many different glands that secrete hormones and these
hormones help the body to control growth, sexual functions and mood swings. There are
various roles of endocrine system in regulating the processes in body which includes
regulating blood glucose level, speeds up heart beat rate, regulating metabolism in body,
stimulating growth, control on sleep patterns and development of female and male sex
characteristics. If any misbalance occurs in the functioning of these hormone-secreting
glands then it leads to initiation of many diseases in the body of a person.
Diabetes is a disease that affects how the body controls blood glucose level. The role of
insulin is to reduce the level of blood glucose in the body whereas the role of glucagon is to
increase the level of blood glucose. In people who are not suffering from diabetes, insulin
and glucagon make together a balance in maintaining blood glucose levels. In a person’s
body who is suffering from diabetes have an imbalance of insulin and glucagon either the
body produce enough insulin or does not produce it which make a mismatch that leads to
diabetes.
There are two types of diabetes; type1, when body is not producing enough insulin and
because of that blood glucose gets too high unless insulin is injected. Type 2 diabetes occurs
when the body is not responding properly to insulin which resultant in higher blood glucose
levels and only medicated through giving diabetes control drugs such as metformin. So it is
clear that diabetes occurs due to inappropriate functioning of the endocrine system and the
best ways to cure all this issues is to follow daily routines such as daily exercises, healthy
diet and routine checkup all that helps in proper functioning of body system.
