INTRODUCTION
Meta data refers to collection of data of data. There are large number of data set which consists
of various type of data and info. these data set are stored within data base which enable
researcher, scholar etc to access it in order to gain secondary info about study. There are several
tools and techniques as well which is used in organising knowledge (Budhwar, , Varma,. and
Patel, 2016). The use of tools and techniques depends on type of knowledge to be organised.
Each tool organise it in different way. However, it is necessary to organise knowledge in
efficient way so that it can be used.
This report will discuss about how NSDL tools and how it is used in specific domain and
service.

In present era of technology there are many tools and techniques to organise data. It is
necessary to organise data so that it can be used in proper way. Along with it, meta data contain
a large set of info the digital library is library where a lot of data is stored in segregated way.
The United States' National Science Digital Library (NSDL) is an open access online digital
library and collaborative network of disciplinary and grade level focused education providers. As
per the view of Li and Liu, (2019) the library makes use of various digital tools in order to
provide learning related to fields like science technology, engineering and mathematics. They
have been involved in providing the STEM content. This library is been involved in providing
high quality of online educational resources that can assist learners in achieving their set target as
well as objectives. Disciplines related to this have been based on both local and international
educational institution. These providers have contributed this metadata to NSDL for organized
search and open access to educational resources via this website and its services. It has also been
evaluated that open educational resources have been provided by the websites. It has also been
analysed that the resources provided in this are also provided in the various forms such as case
study, data set, and diagram. It has been evaluated that most of resources are been provided for
free of cost for educational purpose. The most of resources that has been provided in library are
been based on open educational resources and it can be explored by each and every individual.
Although it has also been evaluated that some of the resources are also restricted for the

resources that can be used for development of NSDL library. NSDL has also evaluated their

assisted so many learners in increasing their knowledge towards science and technology. Quality
of content has been presented in website is of high quality. Also, the data is stored in
segregated way so it is easily retrieved by user. With quality privacy of data is maintained as
well in it (Cooke, 2018).

was to normalise the Meta data support so that it can be used by various learners and also they
have been engaged in making use of diverse learning applications tools so that the knowledge
related to subject matter increases. The target users are learners who are been interested in
increase their knowledge towards science and technical fields. This digital library has been
useful for it. also, scholar and researcher are users who wants to gain secondary data about any
topic related to science and medical field. The database helps them to provide large number of
research article and journal. With that it becomes easy for them to obtain data in it. moreover,
normal university student are target user as well who want to gain knowledge about science field
(Bansal, Smith, and Vaara, , 2018).

there is particular protocol through which meta data is used by NDSL. Here, open archive
initiative protocol is used in it (Evans-Agnew, and et.al., 2016). besides that, meta data
respirator holds each thing in which helps in accessing of data in easy way. the library makes
use of various digital tools in order to provide learning related to fields like science technology,
engineering and mathematics.

The NDSL is considering to develop some more tools and techniques for organising of
info. they are trying to include content analysis, structured annotation, etc in order to organise
data. This will also make it easy for user to access data from library. Here, main tool which is
used is OAI. Its purpose is to share metadata in a manner that is easy to implement and use. It
is instructive to examine some of the difficulties we encountered to understand which are the
results of being an early adopter of Version 2.0 of the protocol, which come from peculiarities of
the NSDL, and which are fundamental to the OAI PMH.
There exist certain ethical issues as well which needs to be solved. Also, there are some
legal issues which can arise. The issues are related to privacy of data and info. therefore, within
NSDL it is ensured that those issues does not arise and data privacy is maintained. The
information retrieval must be done in proper way (Durepos, Shaffner, and Taylor, 2019).
One own skills developed during the assignment
By doing this assignment i developed various types of skills. It will be helpful for me in
future and my professional growth. So, here i learned decision making skills that how to take
effective decisions. Here, i have to use database to gain info about research topic. So i got to
know that how decision is taken. in addition, i gained knowledge about various types of
database which are available and how it is used in particular context. Another skill which i
developed was communication. I got to know what type of communication exist and ways of it.
besides that, i effectively interacted with others during assignment. Also, i developed time
management skill as well. i got to know that how to work in schedule and manage time. through
that i was able to complete tasks in specified time period. Alongside, i gained knowledge that
how to do priority activities on time so that free time can be utilised for self growth and
learning. It will help me in my future growth. I can gain experience within a more professional
world but for most of the part I require to seek them as several other skills (Cooke, 2018). I
will dedicate myself to improves each and every skills of these areas as well as maximizes my
chances for succeeding within my position. I also developed critical thinking skills. It also
enabled me for more creative solutions to the problems, faster analysis for bad situations as well
as provided greater pattern identification for within large systems as well as its applications. It
makes me more capable of analyzing, acknowledging as well as solving problems in effective
way.

CONCLUSION
From above it is concluded that NSDL is an open access online digital library and
collaborative network of disciplinary and grade level focused education providers. This library is
been involved in providing high quality of online educational resources that can assist learners in
achieving their set target as well as objectives. The nature of the content has been published in
the digital library is of high quality. There are also various features that have been related to
services which is being provided by library. Furthermore target users are basically learners that
need to increase their knowledge related to STEM. OAI tool is used for organising of data and
info in NSDL.
