Critical View on the Topic
As per my viewpoint, the protection system hears the voices of disable people. This is
because there are a lot of children in Australia who deal with different kinds of
disabilities These can include having problem in speaking, physical disabilities or
mental disabilities. The NSW government is primarily focused on improving the
lives of children and families that are vulnerable with better policies, laws and
systems. There are various legislation that provide a framework which governs the
overall well being of the children and providing them with protection (Barnes,
Vivienne, 2018).

The area of interest of this presentation is how NSW Child Protection system hear and
addresses the problems of children and young people who are at risk. In Australia, the
state as well as territory governments have the responsibility of protecting children
who are either vulnerable or at risk of being harmed. As per my knowledge, the NSW
Protection System for children does hear the voices of children who are disabled.
This is because, in the year 2019, the NSW/ACT Agency started an initiative in order
to hear the voices of such children.

A large number of children living in Australia receive child protection from the
NSW government and the number continues to rise. The state as well as territory
governments in Australia primarily focuses on providing protection to children
who are vulnerable or at risk of being harmed. There are various studies that have
been conducted for the same and the results show that a significant number of
children in Australia suffer from certain disabilities. The intervention by the
NSW/ACT Agency was basically done in order to identify at risk groups in order
to help them. The agency also conducts onsite visits in order to observe the
services that are being provided to the disabled children.

Argument to support the claim
The people within the agency talk and actively listen to different children in order
to understand their condition. As a result, the Child Protection system acts on the
same and provide support to these children. The number of children who are at
risk of being abused, harmed or being vulnerable is constant rising in Australia
(Bartlett and et. al., Kotake, 2017). Therefore, what each child tells them and how
they feel about the world around them helps the workers in getting a better
understanding about how can they pro0vide support. Vulnerable children and
their families do not have access to good and clean hygienic homes.

groups within the Australian society. The NSW Child Protection System is primarily
committed to promoting the well being as well as overall health and well being of the

young person is at major risk of either being harmed or becoming vulnerable. For

component in Australia because practitioners across various NGOs ensure that

actions can be taken under Child Protection System to help them. Thus, it can be
said that the NSW Child Protection System takes into account the needs of the
disabled children and provide them with the necessary support.

It is a known fact that different countries across the world have different cultures
and thus the NSW child protection system ensures that these differences are
bridged. The Child Protection and Child Well being Legislation that is established
by the NSW government, takes into account the differences in culture, language,
religion as well as disability of the child. Therefore, it can be said that the NSW
Child Protection System hears the voices of disabled children and helps them in
living a positive life in the best possible way.

System forms an important part of the nation. This is because it takes into account
the needs of the children who are vulnerable or at the risk of being abused or
harmed. The protection system takes into account the various cultural differences
between the children as well as their families. Not only this, it has proved to be
useful in identifying the the children and their experience of how they have been
treated by their families.

The demand for receiving support among vulnerable children and their families in
constantly increasing. This has made it important to address the problem and
protect vulnerable children from getting impacted by any kind of harm. There are
various NGOs that work towards addressing this issue and helping these children
to live a healthy and positive life. Therefore, it is recommended that the NSW
government keeps revising the regulations so that the needs are kept into
consideration. The protection system is also recommended to conduct online
surveys so that these people can be involved in the decision making process about
their condition.
