nuclear energy.
1.2 What is your topic and main question?
Our presentation topic is about the harmful impact of the waste generated from the
nuclear energy waste on the human health. We have selected two research questions- “What are
the disadvantages for generating nuclear energy?” and “What are the harmful effects of solid
nuclear or radioactive wastes emerged from nuclear emery on human health?”
1.3 Why was this topic of interest to your group?
There are many researches about the advantage of nuclear energy and its applications but
we desire to highlight the cons of the nuclear energy. There are number of people, working in the
nuclear energy plant go through chronicle disease and some of them even suffer to death. Thus,
our research is to highlight those issues that show that there is an impact of nuclear energy waste
on human health.
1.4 What are some of the important consequences of this question?
The research questions are analyzed secondarily and thus the consequence is that no
recent data regarding the nuclear energy plant’s worker has been recorded. Another consequence
is that not all disease that is occurred from nuclear waste exposure has been recorded in research
papers.

People suggest carrying a primary research for getting the recent and precise data.
Moreover, people also think it is hardly to evaluate all possible disease occurred in the worker
are due to nuclear waste exposure due to the fact that not everyone is able to understand the
health consequence.
1.6 Explain what sources you consulted
We have considered newspaper articles and the research papers that have the details of
the health issues occurred in the employee of the nuclear energy plant. We have get the statistical
data from the news articles and the theoretical perspective is obtained through research papers
based on similar research topic.
1.7 What was your hypothesis?
The hypothesis we have selected is “There is an impact effect of solid nuclear or
radioactive wastes from nuclear energy on the human being health”. Here the independent
variable is “solid nuclear or radioactive wastes” that have an impact on the dependent variable
“human being health”.

2.2 Did you learn anything as you experimented that made you change the experiment?
Yes, as mentioned earlier, during the experiment, we have found nuclear energy waste
management and other sources highlight the disease occurred among the employees of the
nuclear energy firm. However, there is less research papers that highlight the list of disease
occurred due to nuclear waste exposure. Thus, we desire to carry a primary research based on a
single nuclear energy plant so that in-depth analysis can be carried out.
2.3 What were the results of your data collection?
We have found that the nuclear energy exposure resulted in the nervous system disease,
gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and lung, skin, breast and stomach
cancer. We have also found that the impact of the waste exposure on human health can be
divided into many level- no occurrence of death, no-likely occurrence of death, possible chances
of death, likely occurrence of death and permanent death. Thus, we have found that some disease
probably when identified in initial stages can be cured; while, in some cases, there is 50%
chances for the person to or not to survive from the disease. Moreover, in serious case, stem cell
transplantation is required and in rest of the case, the death of the worker is confirmed.

3.0 Results and Conclusion
3.1 Was your initial hypothesis confirmed or not?
Yes, the hypothesis is confirmed from the literature reviewed from different research
papers and statistical data obtained from authentic website data.
3.2 What general conclusion did you draw about the results?
The general conclusion draw the result that the hypothesis is accepted and the chronicle
disease and the pollution in air and water due to nuclear energy waste disposal, human really gets
affected.
3.3 How might the world change if the results of your experiment were more widely confirmed
and embraced by most people?
Our research might be used as a basic guideline or checklist for the management team of
the nuclear energy plant to consider the issues and protect the people from the serious health
adversity. They can become more cautious on improving the waste management of the nuclear
energy desecrates.
3.4 How did your work follow the overall pattern of the scientific method?
We have followed the sequence to carry a research. We have identified the accurate
source for getting the basic idea on the research topic. We have identified the variables of the
research topic so that to precede the research in correct order. We have then identified the correct
and meaningful statistical data and pictorial representation that matches with our research topic.
Lastly, we have cross-checked the literature founded from secondary research and data finding in
order to prove the research hypothesis.
