Report
AI Summary
This report presents a comprehensive analysis of wind speed data from London, UK, over a 10-day period. The analysis begins with organizing the data into a tabular format, followed by data visualization using line, bar, and scatter plots. Key statistical calculations are performed, including mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation, with final values highlighted. Furthermore, the report applies a linear forecasting model (Y = mx + c) to predict future wind speeds, demonstrating the calculation of 'm' and 'c' values and forecasting wind speeds for specific future dates (14th and 21st days). The conclusion emphasizes the importance of numeracy and data analysis, highlighting the effective use of Excel for data presentation and calculation and the application of linear forecasting for predictive analysis. References to relevant literature are also included.

INTRODUCTION
Numeracy and data analysis is essential and more important for business. This analysis is
involves applying well established mathematical and statistical techniques in their data which is
help to understand different patterns which may be hiding within the numbers. This is ability to
reason and to apply simple numerical concepts (Estrada-Mejia, de Vries and Zeelenberg, 2016).
The present report will shows wind speeding Data of London, United Kingdom of last 10 days.
This will formed in proper proper table format and will made various graphs like column, bar,
scatter plot and line chart. The report will calculate by the mean, mode, medium, standard
deviation and range by highlighting the final values. This will also use the linear forecasting
model which is Y = mx + c to calculating following steps like m value, c value and forecast both
values.
MAIN BODY
1. Arrange Data in table formate.
Below is showing data of wind speed in mph of London in table formate.
S. No. Date Days Wind Speed in mph

3. Calculate following steps by highlighting final values.
There are different types and steps for calculating values in excel which are as follows:
Mean: 20.1
Steps of calculating mean are as follows:
Step 1: Write the all values in excel file and underneath that write the proper formula for
calculating mean which is total of Y / number of days.
Step 2: Select the values which are help to calculate mean (Ballarini and Sloman, 2017).
Step 3: After selecting those and press enter key.
Median: 20
Step 1: Writing the formula for median underneath the values which is = median values.
Step 2: Select all values for calculating median.
Step 3: After, that press enter key for result and answer.
Mode: 13
Step 1: For that, here is open excel file and fits all the values in it.
Step 2: Write formula below model vales = values of mode.

Step 3: Select the column to calculate proper answer (Hall and Forgasz, 2017).
Step 4: Press enter key in order get answer for work.
Range: 22
Step 1: Values are put in the excel file.
Step 2: Writing the formula for calculating range that is = max values – min values
Step 3: Select all related column which are help to calculate Range.
Step 4: Press the enter key for work.
Standard deviation: 6.64
Step 1: Inserting the values in excel file.
Step 2: Write the formula in order to calculate standard deviation below it which is = standard
values
Step 3: In the final, stage press the enter key for get answer of work (Bauer and Rudebusch,
2016).
It can be analysed that the by using statistics which mean value of wind speed is 20.1
km/h. On the other side, The median value is 20 km/h which is lump sump similar to mean.
However, mode of data is 13 that is repeated 2 times. Moreover, range is 22 and standard
deviation is 6.64.
4. Use the linear forecasting model is Y = mx + c, for showing steps.
Linear forecasting is the function which is uses the least squares or linear regression
methods in order to forecast future values which is based on historical values (Williams and
Craig, 2016). This useful for knowing about the forecasting sales, stock requirements and trends
etc.

CONCLUSION
From the above study it had been concluded that the numeracy and data analysis had
been important and effective part. That had showed different aspects of London city. For
calculating work data has generated from sources in proper manner. It had been concluded that
the report has present a mean, mode, median, range and standard deviation of data in proper
manner by using excel file and sheet. This has covered by a steps of calculating those in excel
file. It had been concluded that the, the linear forecasting by shifting days like 14 and 21 days as
per requirement. Through, the using excel sheet and file work has been done in proper and
effective manner. This had provide proper result of work.
