Nurse role with elderly people
It has been evaluated by me that human service field is mainly defined as a unique
approach which is having an objective to fulfil human needs with the assistance of inter
disciplinary knowledge base that mainly focus upon prevention and remediation of problem and
maintenance of a commitment in order to improve their quality of life. In context with this, nurse
role with elderly people patient involve accessing patients mental status and understanding their
chronic or acute health issues (Frost and Mills, 2019). My role as a nurse with elderly people is
to discuss their common health concern and take care of them with my nursing duty in effective
manner. I am educated to effectively treat as well as understand complex mental as well as
physical health of older people and further try to help them while protecting their health in order
to cope up with their physical and mental issues by providing high quality care to patient by
understanding their need and evaluating their behaviour in order to deal with their difficulties
sensitivity, in order to improve their quality of life. Most important role of mine by being a nurse
is to undertake properly observation and further report any form of potential sign of underline
dementia as to make sure correct treatment (Chadi, Hadland and Harris, 2019). I also perform
role to provide effective support advice to patient families in order to provide them empathy. It is
essential to perform nursing role with different type of legislations like equality act 2010, health
and social care act, the care act 2014 and safeguarding vulnerable group Act 2006. In context
with this it has been identified by me that care act is being enforced by United Kingdom
parliament at aim towards accessing individual needs and their eligibility for publicly funded
care as well as support (Kirst-Ashman and Hull, 2014). This is most important act through which
I effectively provide aid to elder individual by facilitating and making them aware to take their
treatment with the use of public fund. While it has been evaluated by me that equality act states
treatment of all individual disappeared of different factors like race, sex, colour, religion in an
equal manner (Fouberg and Murphy, 2020). While terms with health and social care act I have
evaluated that it allows me to reduce inequalities among patient in context to their ability to have
access to health services. Further it has been identified by me that safeguard and wonderful Act
2006 is one of the most important act that United Kingdom Parliament enforced which is having
main emphasize upon provisions of connection with protection of vulnerable adult and children
(Ceauşu, Svenning and Carter, 2019). Proper understanding of this entire act I can effectively
perform my role of being a nurse with elderly people in effective manner by providing them
