 BACKGROUND - Nurses have a vital role in safeguarding the patient by
continuously observing the patient and performing many additional
tasks to guarantee patients obtain brilliant healthcare.
 OBJECTIVE – The objective of this presentation is to maintain a safe and
healthy atmosphere of the healthcare system by maintaining a proper
nurse to patient ratio in order to provide safety to the patient’s welfare,
which is essential in health care.
 OUTLINE – Effective Leadership is a primary role for maintaining the
nurse to patient ratio and its impacts and is very important for nurses
at all stages of the nursing field.
 CONCLUSION – This presentation suggests that one nurse should be
allotted to at least 3 to 4 patients, in order to decrease the risk of death
in patients. This will help in reducing the impacts of nurse to patient
ratio.

BACKGROUND
 The nurse to patient ratio differs in each medical facility
from hospitals to clinics.
 The nurse to patient ratio generally becomes a
problematic concern that can become hectic in a
healthcare facility.
 It can become advantageous and also at the same time
may give rise to several problems (Kluwer 2016).

OBJECTIVES
 The objective of this presentation is to analyze the
leadership qualities to develop better patient outcome
and improve the nurse to patient ratio.
 It is necessary to sustain a benign and vigorous setting of
the healthcare structure by retaining a suitable nurse to
patient ratio in mandate to deliver care to the patient’s
health, which is essential in health care (Kluwer 2016).

OUTLINE
 It is necessary for the nurse and the healthcare
facilities to maintain their standards in a top-
notch high quality to ensure to provide a high-
class care quality to their patients’.
 It is also necessary to maintain the nurse to
patient ratio. To understand the concept better

CONCLUSION
It is believed that the deaths of patients after
hospitalizations or just after sometimes is the reason
behind the lack of proper healthcare facilities or lack of
adequate treatment; however, the inappropriate ratio of
the nurse to the patient is another cause behind the
unnecessary death rate (Shekelle 2015).
