read. In your summary, make sure and use in-text citations, including page numbers
if you use a direct quote. Remember, even information that is summarized must be
cited to avoid plagiarism.
4. At the end of the summary, type the reference to your article in correct APA style.

Article Summary:
The article summarizes An Evidence-Based Project in Advance Oncology Nursing
Practice. the researchers conducted a literature review of the process as well as outcome of the
evidence-based practice in the Advance Oncology Nursing Practice. The author highlighted the
need for change in practice such as assessment of oncology nursing council , the involvement of
stakeholders in the practice. The authors suggested that the fundamental contributing factors
behind the successful projects include leadership of CNS, engagement of nursing
professionals, frequently scheduled unit-based and regular communication with the oncology
nursing staff (Constance Donovan & Knobf, 2009). CNS leadership of the project is essential
where flexibility was essential during the processability. Moreover, ongoing communication
along with audit feedback to nursing professionals was critical for facilitating the process of the
evidence-based project. The common practice change will be a revision of standards so that the
nursing professionals can comply with the stands, revision of the documentation forms in the
clinical setting (Constance Donovan & Knobf, 2009).. In order to implement the changes and
evaluate effective implement, audits can be used where clinical nurse specialist would be the
agents in the process. The author suggested that implementing practice change will offer a
supportive framework as well as a nursing standard as well as documentation which is an
effective strategy to support practice in setting of oncology nursing. Moreover, the researchers
suggested that in order to improve the project, nursing professionals are required to design a
culturally competent environment so that patient safety can be restored. The limitation of the
research article is that no comprehensive research design and methodology is present to obtain a
result.
