It also discusses the role of nurses in providing essential nutrients and preparing specific diets based on individual patient needs, particularly for those with intestinal diseases. Furthermore, the assignment examines obesity as a significant behavioral risk factor for chronic diseases, along with social and physical determinants of health, such as educational and economic status, that influence overall health outcomes. NURSING ASSIGNMENT
Question 1
Chronic diseases like the coronary heart disease, diabetes, cancer and asthma are the
diseases which are taking life of people and has become an important issue throughout the world.
The nursing interventions and the care needed by the patients suffering from all these diseases
are different. Nurses need to be involved much for the purpose of the treating these diseases. The
nurses need to use a mix of interventions as a part of the care plan. One important behaviour
related nursing intervention is the effective communication. The behaviours have some specific
purposes or some specific needs which are very effective and very useful for the specific
purposes they are serving. The behaviour can motivate the person more or the conditions of the
patients which normally cannot be changed by medicines. Effective communication is the most
important behavioural changes needed by the patient for getting cured. The gap between the
nurse and the patient decreases if the nurses communicate politely with the patient. Even the
patient will become friendly with the nurse and can share the details of the diseases from which
the patient is suffering (Garrett, 2016).
The provider related nursing intervention is proper diet. The nurse are responsible for
providing the patients with the essential nutrients according to the needs of the body. People
suffering from different diseases have different food requirements. Mostly people suffering from
intestinal diseases should not take fatty and oily foods as it is difficult to digest. So the nurses
have to prepare respective diets for the patients. (Adams et al., 2016).
Question 2
Several behaviours exert a strong influence on the health of human being and among
them the obesity is one of the most important behavioural risk factor. Obesity is one of the major

health risk of chronic diseases like diabetes and the relationship in between the weight of the
person and the diseases. The adults who are suffering from obesity are at risk of other chronic
diseases like chronic heart diseases, hypertension and also are at the risks of few cancers (Morris
et al., 2015).
The two most important determinants of health are the social determinants and the
physical determinants. The social determinants include the resources that are available to meet
the daily needs like educational opportunities and the job opportunities, presence of any trash or
social supports or social interactions, transportation facilities and the safety of the public. While
the physical determinants include natural environment like, plant, weather or changes in climate.
Other manmade physical determinants include presence of buildings or transportations, schools
and physical barriers (Yang et al., 2016).
The educational status, economic status and the health status are related with each other.
A person is able to receive proper education and able to maintain proper health if he is
economically stable. So economic factor is the most important factor upon which everything is
dependent. If a person do not have proper education then he will not be able to get a good job
and also the person will not be able to earn money and without money no one will be able to do
proper treatment.
